About this listen
Two ruthless organizations. Two continents. One spectacular season two finale.
Performed by acclaimed narrators Simon Prebble and Mary Jane Wells.
Sherlock and Lucy must defeat two ruthless organizations on two continents in this season two finale of the Sherlock and Lucy series. Their clever archenemy, the evil Lord Sonneborne, will fight them to the bitter end. But the Baker Street team is equally determined. Their own lives, and the life of Lucy's mother, are at stake, in a struggle to change the future of the British Empire. Who will prevail?
A fun and fast-paced take on a classic Sherlock who-done-it, complete with thrilling twists, hairpin turns, and an ending that will keep listeners guessing to the very last word. Christmas on the Nile stays faithful to the spirit of the original series, but offers new characters and a fresh take on the beloved classics.

Another clever Sherlock Holmes adventure.
This book follows on from 'The coded Blue Envelope'. Like that book, this one is very cleverly written, in this case woven around genuine historical events. It features Holmes and the rest of his team, with the children playing a vital part, which is great fun and very exciting.
The narrators have turned in a another great performance , they work extremely well as a team and having the two voices breaks up the narration nicely.
I have taken one star off because it follows on from the 'cliffhanger' in the previous book, but doesn't really explain some things from that book. Unfortunately there are still too many 'Americanisms' in the text, which really grate for me, for example no British person of that time would dream of saying that something will happen 'momentarily' they would say that it would 'be in a moment'.

Well researched.
A well written and well researched new adventure for Sherlock and Lucy. As always there is a lot of suspense. Simon Prebble and Mary Jane Wells narrated the book very well.
