The book had a promising beginning. After all the drama with the girls family, how could you end the book…without actually ending the BOOK????

Excellent Narrator

This book had a truly excellent narrator who seemlessly switches between gender voices. I was so impressed. I listen to hundreds of audiobooks a year, and this reader is one of the best I've heard. Unfortunately, he had a really weak piece of writing to read. It lacked any richness or development of character. I can tell that this author has great potential, the talent peeks through at times. I hope she spends more time on her future works. The effort will be worth it.

Couldn't turn it off

Absolutely loved it but there should have been a female voice for the female parts.

Interesting wolf shifter romance!

Listened to the audio on Audible. Narrator did a good job; he did make the character’s inner wolves sound a bit creepy, but he still gave a good performance.

Loved the sweet connection between wolf shifters Samantha and Chase. Both are characters you can root for. Sam’s parents are trying to force her to mate someone of royal blood by forcing her to participate in some mating race type thing. The male wolves chase Sam through the forest and first one to catch her, mates her. Sam isn’t happy; especially after she meets Chase, who she has an amazing connection with. Chase isn’t of royal blood, but he’s willing to fight for Sam. Entertaining short story. Sam should’ve stood up to her parents a lot more; her parents are awful; especially her mom. I was also disappointed with the ending; it needed a lot more to it. Overall, a fun wolf shifter romance with a sweet connection.

A Short Read

This is the beginning of the Vegas Mates Series, which started me in my way to reading the works of Krystal Shannon. This story is short and has a lot of potential to go further into the characters. It’s about Sam (Samantha) and Chase, a forbidden love, and what love can conquer. You get introduced to the main characters for the following stories and the storytelling gets more developed as you continue the series.

When you start reading this series, the only disappointment you will have is the stories end and you want more. This is a 6 book series and I wish there were more!!

Chasing Sam

Chasing Sam is a series starter of sisters on a journey to find their mates. The journey provides lots of tension inducing situations, as Sam is of a noble family line and Chase is an average guy. The story had a feeling of Romeo and Juliet. I enjoy listening to the stories on my way to work because listening to a story provides a different aspect to reading through inflection and emotion. I am interested in seeing how the series plays out. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of Chasing Sam provided by the author.

Love this series!!

The noble family of wolf shifters maintains the archaic sport of the mate hunt. When Sam is allowed to select a competitor, will Chase the man she met once at the airport be her savior?

Love shifter stories where the inner wolf also has a voice. Suspenseful and romantic!

Great read

Great storyline and well developed characters. The descriptive writing allowed me to completely immerse myself in the story.

Fantastic

I love Sam and Chas. She is strong and wants to live her life with a mate of her own choosing but her father believes in tradition. A accidental and brief meeting with Chas in the airport changes everything.
This is very well written and the narration is impeachable.
I recommend this book to anyone who loves PNR.
