Summary

An Adepta Sororitas audio drama.

Sister Adamanthea, returned from repentance and revered by the faithful as a symbol of the Emperor's will, must cast her doubts aside when disaster strikes during a holy parade.

Listen to it because:

Hear a thrilling tale of a soul redeemed, but riven with doubt and delve into the murky politics of the Ecclesiarchy and the many temptations that the Dark Imperium has to offer....

The story:

Sister Adamanthea is a Repentia redeemed, restored to her beloved Sororitas and hailed as a ‘living miracle’. But behind closed doors she is haunted by a sin she believes can never be forgiven. Paraded in front of the countless pilgrims of the garden-temple of Concordia, how can she speak of faith when her own is so uncertain? When an aeons-old conspiracy finally triggers, Adamanthea must prove herself the legend she is claimed to be, or risk the forces of Chaos pulling back the shroud of lies and shattering the faith of an entire world.

Written by Alec Worley.

Performed by Steve Conlin, Sean Connolly, Jonathan Keeble, Penelope Rawlins, Richard Reed, Genevieve Swallow and Claire Wyatt.

It was alright.

The story was a bit meh though the voice acting was exceptional as usual.

A good story but hard to follow

The performance of this audiobook and the story is solid. What makes it hard to follow is that it is an audiobook not told in the first to third person. It is as if the reader is listening to the action first hand. The sound effects are good but hard to follow exactly what is happening. This is compounded by the lack of detail in a short story format.

Doubt and divine fury

The music, sound effects, and voice acting are well done in this drama. I am finding this to be a frequent standard in Black Library audio dramas. This story explores the hidden doubts of an exemplar, and the rotten corruption they must struggle against to support the faith in others, which she may not feel herself.

For the Glory of the God Emperor!

Yet another marvellous 40k audio drama. Well written, well acted and enthralling to the last. Shorter than I enjoy my auditions but that is hardly audible's fault. My sisters, in the emperor's name, hear this tale and take heed!!!

Doesn't feel complete

A quick listen, the performance is good, but the story itself feels like it hits a wall and stops halfway through.

Basic

So OTT in every way, really disappointed as sisters are best written subtle. If you like Funkopops and anime, you will probably like this book but if you have been into the hobby for a considerable number of years and have come to appreciate the art of the setting in it's many forms, I wouldn't expect much than a blown out horror show from this book.
