Summary

Veral’monushava’skahalur is an oddity among his species, a lone Argurma cyborg divorced from his own kind by choice and to escape termination as a malfunctioning unit.

Wandering the fringes of space as a salvager, he comes across a planet beyond the boundaries of the federation, rich in metals remnant of a dead civilization. Or so he thought. Confronted by cannibalistic mutations of the indigenous species, his salvage has suddenly become a lot more complicated. Even more so when he encounters a female surviving on her own....

She is strong and fearless, begrudgingly earning his admiration. Terri is hardened by a life of hunger and watchfulness, and yet is moved by a compassion that he’s never possessed. When his admiration turns into the first signs of a forming mate-bond, he knows his fate is sealed. Unlicensed mating is forbidden - if his malfunctioning wasn’t already a death sentencing, taking her for her mate would be. Yet, he finds that letting her go is no longer an option.

Contains some graphic violence and sex that may not be appropriate for all audiences.

Amazing!!!!!!!

I loved the fact it was like listening to an actual conversation between the MCs! You were able to be swept away by the story because of how well narrators were! It was amazing to listen to!

Duo Narrators

This was years ago but, my first experience with an audiobook with two narrators sucked. Each narrator covered one chapter at a time and the male narrator did a horrible attempt at a female voice. But this book is far better than that first audiobook. Female did the female character voice and the male to the male. I have to applaud the male narrator for his diversity in voices. His psychotic cannibal man voice was particularly terrifying. It made the story 100000x more enjoyable.

Erotic Science Fiction at its best

I throughly enjoyed every aspect of this audio book... and I don't say that often. The story was entertaining and well written. The voice actors were brilliant and kept my attention the entire time. I'm looking forward to listening to more from this series.

Loved the Voice acting!

Not only did I love this story but the voice acting was fantastic. I really enjoyed that all the dialog was done by the characters voice actor as apposed to just the pov chapters! I wish more dual POV audiobooks would do that!

Great performers

Great performers, easy to listen to. Even though I’ve read all the books, it was so good I wanted to hear it in an audible version and it did not disappoint.

WOW

I love this series, couldn't wait for the audiobook. I had my favorite narrators playing in the background as I read the books so I could pretend it was them narrating. But now these two narrators are my favorite. Now I listen to them when I read any of my other books. 😁

Over the Top! It's excellent!

This book is one of my favorites! I dives into the dystopian venue then adds aliens. Can it get any better?
Both Terri and Veral are challenged. Yet they rise to the occasion and over come all obstacles set in their path.
I am telling this book is a great experience!

Yall

Just the narration is outstanding. The trills and growls they are capable of are nothing short of amazing. S. J. Sanders, this is an outstanding storyline. I wish I didn't have to fill in space in order to be able to post my review. It's not giving me the option. Grrrrrr.....

Where are all these 5 stars coming from?

I saw the high score on the reviews and was intrigued by the storyline. I regularly listen to alien romance in all forms. This was just another book with zero chemistry, zero attraction, and meek females who kept on trying to take the FMC's mate.
It was annoying, weird, and except for the narration does not deserve a credit or my time. I only finished it because I hate leaving books unfinished - even the crappy ones.

One hoot for the alien!

Alien romance with the alien as the hero. Now, that works but think it's due to the narrators. They are good. Well, on to the next book as I'm digging this storyline.
