About this listen
One fresh start. Two broken souls and a last chance to find salvation.
They say that time heals all wounds, but they haven’t been handed a folded flag. Almost six years later, Chloe Triplett is ready to try and move on. New job, new town, but saying you’re ready and actually doing it are two very different things.
Besides, what kind of crazy person would want to take on a single mom with a dog?
They say that pain is temporary, but they haven’t buried someone they love. Miles Kent is treading water. His SEAL career is over, and the ghosts of his past are holding him hostage, haunting the present.
How does a hero admit he’s the one who needs help?
Crashing into each other’s lives might just be the best thing that ever happened to them - but how can either of them take a chance on love when they know the pain of loss all too well? It will take a discerning dog, a surly tween, and a superman to discover if Virginia really is for lovers.

This will rip your heart out!!!
Another addition to Corinne Corinne Michaels' Salvation Society, another masterpiece! I just loved this audiobook. Since I've gotten into audiobooks, I've noticed they just hit differently then just reading them! You're immersed into the story and you become one with the characters and this story just blew me away! It starts off heartbreaking and throughout you might need tissues! Chloe and Miles' story will pull at all your heartstrings. It will rip you apart before putting you back together, but it is worth every second! I absoulety loved the narrators for this audiobook, especially Solveig's voice. It was just so perfect for Chloe!

Heartrending but absolutely beautiful as well.
A definite tear jerker straight from the start with Chloe's lost.
OMG!! What Miles ex-wife Allye when through, is totally gut-wrenching. Miles is the best man ever, for what he did for her even after his lost, dissopointment and pain. (mantal illness is no joke)
Good advice to Chloe from a caring friend. "He needs you to put him back together " when someone is in pain they don't always know how to ask for help. Miles was drowning in grief, feelings of failure and that he was undeserving of love and happiness.
Chloe is still trying to get over the death of her husband, giving herself permission to open her heart to love again and helping her son Jacob deal his feelings of abandonment. Will she be able to reach Miles?
This story deals with some heartbreaking issues that evokes several emotions. But it is also a absolutely beautiful, touching, and romantic, well-written and emmersive read. 👍 to the Narrators

Chloe & Miles
How is this my first KC Enders book? I am in love with her style of writing and this book is nothing short of fantastic. The Salvation Society series is one that I love so was happy to get to listen to Chloe and Miles’s story. Chloe lost her husband due to a tragic circumstance on his way home from deployment. Now six years later, she is starting over with her teenage son Jake and hoping their clean slate will lead to happiness. She has a panic attack, and Miles is there. Former SEAL, he is seeking his own fresh start, neither looking for love, but a definite attraction is forged. And when they meet again, thing begin to bloom. But is either broken soul ready to find their new normal and happiness? Fall in love with this poignantly written story of PTSD, grief, parenting and love. Chloe is a tough woman, dealing with her past and doing her best to raise Jake. Oh Miles, the man is so good with Jake, giving him guidance and keeping me straight. And the two together are perfect. I love the realism Enders give this couple, true problems that are faced and worked to overcome. It’s a beautiful story.
The narration brought this story to life. The storytelling by Solveig Nelson and Tom Haire enhances the emotional heights and brings out all the feels. They are both new to me and I thought they were perfect for these roles.

Beautiful story!
This story is going to stay with me for a long while. It's exquisitely written, poignant, and utterly gripping, wrapped in family, love, and romance. Chloe and Miles are captivating and authentic characters; it was impossible not to get emotionally invested in them and the outcome of their story. The narration by Solveig Nelson and Tom Haire made this audiobook even more enjoyable. They literally breathed life into KC Enders's word, wholly enthralling the listeners. Broken is a must listen, one I'm highly recommending.
