About this listen
Rayna would do anything for Brady and she has. She's bailed him out of jail. She's healed his bruises and picked him up from parties. She's always been there for him regardless of whether he had asked or not. But when a potential love interest for Rayna returns to town, their relationship is threatened.
Brady has to decide if he's going to make her his or let her go. And when he tries to do the right thing by both of them, neither could've foreseen what secrets their decisions would've exposed. Their small town is soon rocked by controversy and in the midst of it, Rayna and Brady try to figure out if they can be together or not.

Sooooo annoying
I usually love Tijan books but this one was so irritating. The heroine whined from the beginning to the end to the point all the inner monologues had me nearly smashing my iPad. There was never any explanation why the mother didn’t tell anyone who the father was or why the daughter never got to meet him or why she didn’t want contact with her. The story was so disjointed. Then the ending was so rushed after enduring all the monotonous dialogue, no epilogue.

another beautiful story from Tijan
This high school romance has all the ingredients needed for a torture romance.
Tijan is such a brilliant writer and has a second to none insight to the human psychology.
The longing of both protagonist was full of feeling and angst. But not to the extent you felt like shaking them both for acting so stupid. Which I often feel with other books.
Brady is definitely one of my bad boy book boyfriends.

Brady, Brady, Brady
Not that it was obvious or anything, but BRADY 😍😍
Oh my, I’ve been waiting for Brady on audible for what seems like forever, and it did not disappoint. I absolutely loved it. Loved Brady so so much, but Rayna, Rayna was just awesome. She was the right mix of innocent, vulnerable, kickass and beautiful. One of my favourite leading ladies. I loved how she just 'got' everything. There was no point when I wanted to scream 'it's so obvious', because she was already one step ahead of the plot. A beautiful coming of age drama, loved the story, loved the characters. So much controversy, so many secrets. Can love conquer all? Narrated by Abby Craden, who nailed it, I couldn’t imagine anyone more perfect for the role..

An ok listen
As is often the case with a Tijan novel I felt like I’d been dropped in the middle of a story, or that I’d missed a previous book; I hadn’t. The start is a little confusing as there is no preamble to who these people are but as you listen it all becomes clear; not unusual in a Tijan book.
The story was ok, if a little immature. The characters were great although Brady is a bit of a mystery. I’d have liked either this to be written in the third person so we could see more of Brady without Rayna, or a duel POV. It was a bit thin. Also the whole mystery was a bit silly given they could just have done a DNA test - maybe it should have been set in the 1980s when this wasn’t possible.
There was also quite a bit of casual misogyny in there in regard to women who choose to have multiple partners and the judgment placed on that activity. Given this is probably aged at YA I’d have preferred this to have been challenged.
The narrator did a good job.
Worth a listen given it’s in the plus catalogue but not worth a credit.
