Summary

Harper Harlow-Monroe and Zander Pritchett have been excited for their upcoming ghost conference in New Orleans for years, since before they were involved with their significant others. What was once a trip for two has now become a trip for four...but that doesn’t make them any less excited.

Ofelia Archer has just found out that her bar Krewe is about to be inundated with ghost hunters...and she’s beyond excited. She’s looking forward to a good week, which means more money to funnel into her next business venture.

Two worlds collide when Harper and Ofelia meet in Jackson Square, a ghost catching their attention. Before they realize what’s happening, they’re embroiled in a huge mystery...one that involves New Orleans’ colorful past and worry for the future.

Harper and Ofelia have a lot in common, and they bond quickly. That adds a colorful edge to their friendship. Add Zander to the mix, and the Big Easy is in for big trouble.

Hang on, because it’s going to be a bumpy ride. Between ghosts, Zander’s attitude, and Ofelia’s mother...it’s going to be a very strange trip. It could also be deadly.

Note: This is a crossover book between Harper Harlow and Ofelia Archer. It’s set after Ghostly Travels and Hex, Drugs & Rock and Roll.

Good story, not keen on the narration

As usual, another good story in the series but the narration let's it down. I know this narrator does all of the other series, which is why I haven't been able to get into them at all - I'd much rather read that series than listen. She makes everyone sound really annoying and obnoxious even though when you read the words, that's not how it comes across at all. If I didn't have all of the ophelia archer series as audio, I probably wouldn't have gone with the audio this time but I can't stand an incomplete collection haha.

Anyway, good story, good pace, didn't really see the twist coming, the only drawback is the voice.

terrible narration

Read the reviews on the narrator before purchasing, but still gave it a shot bc I enjoy Ofelia's adventures. The narrator was awful, it's sadly true. I won't be checking out the Harper Harlow series bc of this narrator. Thankfully the next books in the Ofelia series go back to the original narrator.

Enjoyed the crossover.

I liked the crossover. Narration was Ok. Angel Clark narrates Harper normally but not Ofelia. So having just listened to another Speakeasy story, the voices were different. This book was just Ok overall. It seemed to set up for a future crossover.

It was fun..

Who else wants to go to New Orleans, after listening to this book. It was fun listening to two characters we enjoy, joining forces.

Sander!

I've read most of this series hoping Sander would grow up. Since somehow he's now engaged, and Still behaves like a 3 yr old, it is more than I can take. I'm done.
The plots have been enjoyable, and I like all the characters. Sander was OK to begin with, but he had NO GROWTH!
I like Ms Hart's books and I've read and enjoyed her other series.
If Sander grows up, I'll pick this series back up.

Obnoxious!

So I love the Speakeasy series. I don’t like the Harper Harlow series because of the Xander character. In this book he was the absolute worst. So disappointing

Loved it!

Zander is even more irritating than usual and it is hilarious! Ophelia and Harper make a great team. AML/LHH gives us another winner!!!

Ah!! I love her book

Amanda M Lee writes paranormal cozy series and I am addicted to all of them. Harper and Zander are especially favorites. He is so arrogant yet child-like and vulnerable. And super snarky. Ofelia’s series is normally a bit darker but this was more about friendships. A perfect, light listen in stressful times.
