Summary
It has been prophesied that four men, raised as brothers, will bring Scotland back to her rightful glory. The first is running for his life.
Charged with the restoration of Scotland's one true king, Duncan MacAlpin isn't surprised to find himself fleeing an army across the verdant hills of his homeland. But having to do so while shackled to a woman...that is a true challenge to Duncan's ingenuity and self-control. For the lovely, untouched maiden he's chained to is far too captivating to resist.
Despite her innocence, Mercy guards her own dangerous secrets. Proud and unafraid - hunted and imperiled for who she is and what she knows - she is determined to regain her freedom and never let it be taken from her again. Yet locked so tightly to her imposed escort, tempted by the warmth of the powerful Highlander's body, she aches to give herself over completely to desire...and risk the heart she has fought so hard to protect.

Narrator ruined it for me
This is my second time listening to this book... glad it was already in my library...Antony’s female voice is horrible... I slogged my way through, but I am sad to say that I now pass by any books narrated by Antony Ferguson

over all I liked the story
some of the way it had to be read, took away from it, kind of robotic, but the Story was good, I hate that it ended, and it really get the answers I've got to get the next book

Eh. I like characters and plot was unique. But eh.
Sweet, charming characters. Interesting concept.
I didn’t count the days but it seems like safety is always another week away and it started as a week I thought. The poor, fatigued but always sweet Mercy made me tired eventually myself.
But I’m about 2/3 to 3/4 and I can see the end coming. I’m not sure I can finish it.
I think because I don’t see why Mercy can’t tell the dude her “secrets.” But I know it’s because it’s going to be the final plot point. Maybe I’m just jaded lately of all romance books. There’s really only so many ways to do it I guess.
At least they don’t have the woman turning into some kind of acrobatic genius who can stand on a galloping horse and shoot a target 10 miles away. I’ve seen that one twice in different books of “the Highlands.” Like what the heck?
There IS something about the whole Scottish genre, but they’re seriously kind of all the same.
Narrator did fine, but Mercy sounded a little odd but I think frequent Audible listeners are getting spoiled.

intriguing, fun, sweet
I really enjoyed this novel. While there seem to be similar themes on this to the Sinclair brother stories, it is a good theme to continue. four brothers a loving family strong brave women. Great for a Saturday afternoon.

Entertaining
I liked the narrator's voice and accent, a little harder to envision when he does both the male and female voices but it worked. I do love Donna Fletcher's style and engaging story lines so if you like her work this definitely does it justice.

Good plot could have been executed better.
The story was creative and interesting and the narration was well done. Although I liked the characters and the storyline quite a bit, I rated this book 3 stars because the writing itself felt a little dry and inexpressive. It was a little difficult to get through the entire book because the choice wording and lack of emotion and colorful descriptions left a lot to be desired for me.

Bound to a Warrior
I loved this book. I so enjoy Donna Fletcher's stories of the Scottish Highlander. I just got done listening to BOUND TO A HIGHLANDER!
ANTONY FERGUSON, has such a marvelous voice for reading. I so enjoyed listening to him. He gave me goosebumps when I first heard him read. I so love the Scottish accent. He really does, a very wonderful job of reading, and bringing, life to Donna's books.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
