About this listen
Laura is a librarian living in Strawberry Shores. It has always been a quiet place with nothing too crazy going on, especially murder.
Suddenly, Laura finds herself as the new sleuth in town, an amateur one at that, to solve the murder that has occurred in her beloved town. With a wide range of suspects, she has her work cut out for her. Luckily, she has the help of her friends, Emily and Alex, to help solve the crime and save the town!
This is a standalone, first book in a new sweet cozy mystery series filled with humor, suspects, and lots of books! It also has some mild paranormal elements, but is suitable for all ages.

I found this little gem in Audiobook Boom, and loved it.
The story is well written and very entertaining and quick moving. Angel Clark is a cracking narrator and preforms really well when playing a young women with a attitude.
A great start to the Strawberry Shores Short Mysteries Series. I really think it is worth grabbing a copy while it is still available free of charge on Audiobook Boom.

Short and Fun
This audiobook was okay- it started off strong but I must admit I lost interest before the murderer was revealed. For me, I found the narration a bit whiney. If the book had kept the strength it had at the start I’d have loved it, as it is, I won’t be actively searching for other books by this author.

Bound to be a hit
I quiet enjoyed this short mystery. It is a good start to a new series and I liked the lie detector aspect to the case but think it should have been explained earlier in the book and then the beginning of the book would have made more sense and not just hinted at something. Also the main character wouldn't have come of as annoying and a strange know it all. She did grow on me as the story developed and as she made friends. Off to start book two.
Laura after her boyfriend lets her down during a robbery moves to Strawberry Shores and lands her dream job working in the library. That is until she finds herself the centre of attention when she discovers a secret room no body knew existed full of old books. The town is divided with what to do with it, Laura and her new friends think it should be donated to a museum but the biggest opponent believes the room should be sealed and the books left alone. When he turns up dead there are a number of suspects including Laura herself because everybody witnessed there very loud argument. Laura has one advantage the police don't have, beside knowing she didn't do it. Can she find a good way to put it to use when questioning the other suspects? The killed thinks Laura is to nosy without knowing her secret.
The narrator was okay but she used some strange effects to tell this story like when one of the characters was talking in a hall in front of an audience she was shouting but at the same time it sounded hollow. The men tended to all sound the same, otherwise she did a good job.
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Will Laura's unusual gift help her find the killer
I really enjoyed listening to this cozy mystery. It was well written and the narrator did an excellent job narrating it and preforming the different characters in the book.
Laura is one of he new librarians in Strawberry shores.. she has and unusual gift that she developed after an accident in that she can tell if someone is lying to her when she asks a question. When a murder is commuted in the secret room under the Library she uses this gift to try to find the the murderer. Will she be able to find the murderer or will she become another casualty.
