About this listen
All Lexi wants to do is get through the day at her boring temp job with Green Hand Insurance. That's until she discovers the vice president, Martin Dean, in a pool of blood and herself at the center of an investigation into insurance fraud.
Millions of dollars are missing, the chief suspect is dead and her mysterious, sexy new boss is not what he seems.
Recruited by the joint task force working on the case, all Lexi has to do is work out who killed Dean and where the missing millions are. That's easier said than done when her sister insists upon the baby shower to end all baby showers, her wise-ass cop family just wants to keep her safe, someone keeps leaving her creepy gifts, and all the clues point to a seedy sex club on the wrong side of town.
As the bodies start to pile up, Lexi is on a race against time to find the killer and the money, before she's the next one in the murderer's sights.

Really enjoyed this book.
I read the paperback version some years ago but decided to try thr audio book.
The narrator is clear and the storyline is great. Lighthearted with mystery and a bit of romance built in. The relationships are realistic especially between bff's Lexi and Lily and the strained relationship between the siblings. There are some lol moments and I really enjoyed the book and series.

Simple Fabulous
I was really enjoying this book and then we got to the middle and not only did it slow down but the romance, or should I say love triangle which reminded me of the one Janet Evanovich has her character Stephanie Plum caught up in-even the same type of guys, took over from the mystery and it lost a star. Why do authors always have every guy falling in love with the heroine at first glance? Anyway other than that I liked the main character who isn't afraid to get the job done with style and sass when the guys are around but is more human (scared) when with her best friend. Both attitudes leads to trouble and a lot of fun. The mystery was interesting and took a number of twist and turns. On to the next book to see what trouble she finds herself getting into next,as long as the love interest doesn't play to big a part in the story, as it's fun to begin with but can get boring .
As a temp office worker Lexi just wants to get her work done as quickly as she can go spend more time online shopping but an accident with the printer has her working overtime in the library. When she returns to shut down office she finds the big boss dead, just her files on is desk and her direct boss hiding in the cupboard. He's been keeping secrets and needs Lexi's help but when the body isn't discovered in the morning they have to pretend like nothing is wrong. Does Lexi have to add actress to her resume? What about spy? The killer took all the files and now Lexi is the only one standing in his way with getting away with murder. Can just a temp find the reason behind the murder and what happened to the body before somebody decides she has got to go?
I liked the narrator. She made the hours fly bye with entertaining voices.

Entertaining story
Enjoyed the story and was a nice easy read. it took a while to get used to the narrator who I didn't think was that good to start with but I warmed to her as the story went on.

Nothing
Disliked the whole thing. Poor stuff. I have no idea why I persevered to the bitter end. I think this was designed for teenagers, so I picked the wrong horse😀
