About this listen
Boomerville is back!
Join Hattie and Jo as they head to Southern Ireland to open Boomerville Manor, a holiday retreat for guests of "a certain age". There’s Irish craic and shenanigans aplenty for the colorful cast of characters as everyone gathers for the grand opening.
Meet Melissa, an ex-cabaret singer running from her abusive husband, and Bill, a bachelor bullied from beyond the grave by the ghostly voice of his mother. Along with local bobby Harry the Helmet, ageing aquatic team - the Boomerville Babes - eccentric artist Lucinda Gray, and heartthrob Finbar Murphy, they gather in Ireland, and the fun begins. But murder is in the air, and there’s mischief afoot. Will the residents get more than they bargained for at Boomerville?
Set in the beautiful Irish countryside, Boomerville at Ballymegille is a heartwarming story of friendship, fears, and new beginnings.

Heartwarming and a great listen with beautiful narration
What a pleasant discovery of an audiobook. This audio was so much fun to listen to and I really could picture the two manor houses and all the madcap guests running around. I actually really wish these two locations were real so j could visit as they sound like a scream of a holiday location. By the end of this book the whole gang felt like friends especially Jo and Hattie so I guess that says everything about this audio.

great follow up
I read the first book when it came out so was looking forward to this one. This book follows Jo, the owner of the Boomerville group of hotels and her manager and friend Hattie.
The book follows them and their guests during their happy and sad adventures and the book is very moving in places.
the book was very well narrated and added extra depths to the storyline

Shenanigans Aplenty
Hattie and best pal Jo head to Southern Ireland to open another Boomerville Manor a holiday retreat for persons of a certain age. Some of these guests come with extra baggage so to speak there's Melissa in an abusive marriage that she can't get out of, Bill he's hearing voices of his dead mother, Harry he has an aquatic team and Finbar who drives a taxi and also does the odd job. Hattie decides to have an open day in hopes it will drum up some business and her guest really starts to enjoy themselves, and are having fun, but also on the horizon keeping a watchful eye on Melissa is her husband and he is going to force her to go back with him but he just can't get close enough to her and he is more than annoyed that she is enjoying herself, he is not happy at that he will make her pay. After a hectic and happy day, everybody having drinks when things start to happen. In this audio, there are laughs aplenty and sadness, what becomes oi Melissa's husband and will she ever be free, great easy listen good clear narration, a story well thought out but not overpowering.

Wonderful
A wonderful uplifting book. Guests at the Boomerville Hotel all have their own stories but everyone benefits from their stay. A close community grows amongst the visitors who become more confident and blossom as they support each other. Sometimes poignant and moving this book definitely has the feel good factor.

Great listen
This was different to what I was expecting but! What a fun listen.
There was fun & cheek, some sadness & some downright wicked goings on. It really had it all.
Great characters as well. The setting was lovely so well described I could see it.
Narrator was fab, lovely chilled voice. Just what I like, the kind of voice that takes me on the journey with the characters.
