Summary

Brax is too young. Too vulnerable. Too perfect. My dominant nature craves someone to care for. Someone to command. Brax could be that guy, if the circumstances weren’t all wrong.

His brothers would kill me if I hurt him. So would my FBI partner. That doesn’t mean I can stay away. The young artist is everything I want in a partner. And when danger comes for him, I need to keep him safe. But how can I keep him forever?

I’ll never be good enough. My brothers got me off the streets, but Ry doesn’t know the truth. I’m dirty. I’ve done things I’m not proud of. Things none of my former boyfriends could see past. Why would Ry be any different?

He sees the world in black and white. I know where I stand. But he looks at me with a heat I can’t ignore. And when I’m in danger, he keeps me safe. Will he accept me when he learns the truth?

Another amazing addition to the series

I really loved this storyline! There was much less relationship angst, although we didn't really get to the end of what happened at the trial.

Brax and Ry were so very sweet together. I enjoyed that they were friends prior to starting a relationship, and Ry was so insistent on Brax's continuous therapy even though they were together as a couple. I was also impressed at the changes that came about by there relationship in the way that Brax became more and more confident as they were together.

Hot hot hot

This book has such an alpha and protective man oh it is just perfectly written. I loved how much emotion this brought out in me. I also found that the push and pull between the characters was really intriguing. Another brilliant addition to the series

An amazing addition to the series! now in audio!!

This series is wonderful!! Now book 3 has a very interesting topic, I enjoyed a lot Rhyland and Braxton story and their journey to find an HEA in each other. A captivating plot, wonderful characters, some angst, a lot of family and heartwarming moments, made this book my favorite on the series. Now, after loving so much the ebook, the audio version was a must. This is my first book read by Mr Dubois but he didn't disappoint and his performance was amazing, with a sexy voice and a very skillful narration. I can't wait to hear more books read by him!

Fantastic Story & Listen🎧 Captivating & Heartfelt!

I loved this book, the story is well written with interesting storylines that grabbed my attention right from the start and held it straight to the end. The characters are realistic, easy to relate to and connect with. Even though this is the third book in the series I was able to enjoy it on its own, I will definitely be catching up with the first two books since I loved this book and want to know more about the other characters in the Vanguard Towers series. This book is Braxton and Ryland’s story, Brax lives in Vanguard Towers with his foster brothers, each having their own space. He is an up and coming artist and has not had the best luck with men, his current boyfriend Ian turns two be a real piece of work. Ryland works with Brax’s older brother Hunter in the FBI, he has taken a liking to Brax and stops by his apartment when he visits Vanguard Towers. My heart broke for Brax, he suffered from PTS from past incidents in his life and then Ian turns on him. I am proud of the way he handled himself and that he chose to call Ryland for help instead of getting his brothers involved. I loved how Ryland was there for him, his patient care and not pushing him. The chemistry between them was smoking and I thought they were great together and for each other. A lot goes on in this book, the story is nicely plotted with plenty of drama, personal, relationship and crime drama/mystery, a touch of angst, lots of heartfelt and emotional moments and a wonderful romance. I liked how the break in the case Hunter and Ry was working on came about. Aiden Bates thank you for another great story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Guillaume Dubois is a talented narrator and voice artist. He did a great job portraying the characters, humanizing them, giving each their own voice and personality. You could hear how much heart he put in to his work as he captured the character’s emotions and projected them into his performance. He is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the great listen.

Brax 🥰

I was waiting for Brax and Ry’s story. It is totally romantic with an age gap and dom sub relationship. Brax is the artsy brother, with a jerk of a boyfriend. They both admire each other from afar. Working with one of the Vanguard Tower brothers, Ry wouldn’t dare pursue Brax. I don’t like reason Brax needed Ry’s help but that brings them together. Not only they develop a cute relationship but Brax also helps him with a case. I enjoyed the listen immensely with Mr Dubois narration as the cherry on top.

Brill

This is another brilliant book in the series as we follow Brax who has some problems to overcome especially an abusive boyfriend. When in need he contacts Ryland who he has had a crush on for years but believes he has no chance.
I like how sweet and caring Ryland is with Brax and his caring Dom side comes out.
The narrator also does a brilliant job with bringing the characters to life.

One of my favourites

Brax and Ry were sweet together and I loved how Ry went out of his way to show Brax how special he was.

The sub/Dom aspect wasn’t a major part but the intimacy and passionate moments they shared, more than made up for it.

Brax’s brothers made me laugh when they each came up with suggestions on how to deal with Brax’s ex.

Dreams can come true

Braxton knows his his relationship with Ian is not working, Ian has become more controlling and jealous recently and is not treating him well. Things come to a head and Braxton phones Ryland his brother Hunters best friend and fellow FBI agent to come and get him, Braxton's been secretly crushing on the gorgeous FBI agent for years but doesn't think that anything can ever happen about it. Guillaume Dubois does a fantastic job narrating the story and I really enjoyed it. Fantastic third installment in the Vanguard Towers series, pageturner, age gap, MM, D/s romance with some triggers, sexual/physical assault.

Fantastic addition

A fantastic story by Aiden Bates. Brax and Ry might be made for each other but there where first some hoops to jump thru, including but not limited to get rid of a bad boyfriend. Guillaume Dubois did a magnificent job in bring the characters to life. The series is additive and keeps you hoping they all find love. This book was given to me for free at my request and I provided this voluntary review.
