Summary
Imagine how different your life would be if you could really know what other people were thinking in any situation.
Unless you hone into the non-verbal gestures people are giving off, you will never quite know exactly what they are thinking - whether it's reading your colleagues in the office, your spouse or kids at the dinner table, or even a complete stranger on the street. All too often, people fall short of really picking up the true intentions of others as they depend solely on the words that are being spoken. They aren't equipped with the speed reading skills and behavior pattern identifiers to see these non-verbal signals.
Not anymore.
James Daugherty is an intelligence expert & former CIA spy who specializes in all forms of human behavior. But there's one skill which is critical to true communication: body language. A spy would be lost without the ability to read these gestures.
However, he never realized quite how much his ability to read others whilst working for the FBI & in the field as an American spy would help everyday people in civilian life.

Very detailed ideas
A comprehensive guide to human non-verbal communication. Very thorough and detailed. I would have preferred to see more illustrations of some gestures and poses but the descriptions are good enough to understand what is being discussed.

I consider myself pretty good at listening people. Body language is one thing I needed a little work on. This book is common sense once you listen it.

Awesome Audiobook
This book is great in the way it doesn't just describe ways in which to pose but it incorporates ways of dressing and grooming,. The thing I like most about this book is that it creates a link between your physical actions and your mindset.

Enjoyed this listen
I enjoyed this book. It's very enlightening. I began to notice little things about the people around me, at work, at home and in public places. The author really gave me some insight on what people are saying without speaking. There's so much to learn about people, as well as ourselves. This book can help!

Loved this audible
I love that he gives options on what body language signs usually mean and can mean. For instance, I am a visual learner and I may not make.

It is about chemistry of brain for different behaviors and more common body language that is well known by most of the people. I was expecting more about ones known by as ex spy he was and got trained

Very basic knowledge
It's a decent book. I expected a more thorough breakdown of body language. This book merely scratched the surfaces. It decent for someone that needs direction and gives details if you want to go in depth but, I shall not get another writing from this author unless he got into science fiction, paranormal novels. Those types of books are supposed to leave you wanting more.

Well explained!
This book is clearly explained with a sense of humor and many perceptive insights into body language and facial expressions. The author's many years as an Spy, with a psychology background, give it a persuasive professional tone but its intended audience is laymen.
