Summary
Jim sprang back on to the truck of the violently rocking wagon and stared across at Manatasee. She saw him and pointed her assegai at his face. Then he saw the length of slow-match had been exposed across the last yard of trampled earth below the mound on which the queen stood. The swift flame shot along it, leaving the fuse blackened and twisted as it burned. Jim clenched his jaws and waited for the explosion.

Terrific adventure story
terrific adventure story with full blooded characters and stirring action.. Blue Horizon combines all the best elements of a Wilbur Smith yarn. Not his best but perfect for passing long journeys and brilliantly read.

Exciting story
Will the Courtneys never stop making foes then hinting them down across swathes of Africa, described in beautiful detail?
I loved this story and can’t wait to start the next in chronological order.

Wilbur Smith is amazing as always
Blue Horizon is an excellent addition to the Courtney series, I have never yet read a Wilbur Smith book I have not loved!

Great stuff!
Excellent swashbuckling stuff, hardly a punctured lung that doesn’t wheeze its last, a skewered kidney or liver that doesn’t spurt black blood or a shattered skull that doesn’t leak brain matter. The goodies get laid and the baddies get it in the neck and all is well with the world… for the moment. NEXT!
