About this listen
Good girl Danyelle Fitzgerald’s perfect image is shattered the moment she crashes into Ian Fogg’s car at a stop sign. An unexpected agreement and the lure of the handsome and witty Ian leave Danyelle's head spinning and her heart in danger. The more she tries to learn about Ian, the more he resists. What is he hiding and why does he have Danyelle questioning her own morals? Are his secrets too much for this good girl to handle?
©2019 R.M. Demeester (P)2021 R.M. DemeesterWhile I predicted nearly every single one of the plot points and twists, it didn’t cause me to enjoy the story any less. This is the second R.M. Demeester novel I’ve reviewed that I was able to predict nearly every plot point,m in all fairness this is the exact type of story I’d write if I ever wrote any of my ideas down. This also might be a contributing factor as to why I enjoy it so much.
Some of the characters are utterly insufferable, such as Danyelle’s mother. I’ve known people who are just like, if not worse than every unlikeable character in this story, which just made them more believable.
After trying to think of any major criticisms, I really can’t think of any. (Minor spoiler) There is a moment where Danyelle and Ian make a big deal out of saying I love you. But I swear there was a moment earlier in the story where one of them said that.
Much like with the story itself, I only have good things to say about the narration. I did recall the narrator saying “aunt” as “ant” and “ont” (however you would spell out both pronunciations of that word without looking up a dictionary) which I found a bit odd.

Some twists and turns keep the suspense up throughout and the ending I didn't see coming. Danyelle only wants the perfect life and does not see anything else. Until she is involved in a car accident with Ian ...
Danyelle finds herself being drawn to the enigmatic Ian. This is a intriguing romance between Danyelle and Ian. It is a journey of self-discovery It is an emotional love story with drama and steam
This is a story full of drama and with a unexpected ending.
