Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

How can you say things like this? How can you be so blind?

Since they were kids, Edie, Jake and Ryan have been the closest of friends. It's been the three of them against the world. Edie thought the bonds between them were unbreakable. So when Jake is brutally murdered and Ryan accused of the crime, her world is shattered.

Edie is alone for the first time in years, living in the remote house that she and Jake shared. She is grief-stricken and afraid—with good reason. Because someone is watching. Someone has been waiting for this moment. Now that Edie is alone the past she tried so hard to leave behind is about to catch up with her....

Be aware that this is a novella..!

A nice story, but before you spend a credit on it, do note the length, ie 2 hours, 46 minutes. It felt more like a short story (with nowhere near the detail/suspense of Ms Hawkins's "proper novels").
Mea culpa - I should have looked..!

My gamechanger for Audible!

As a commuter I have tried a lot of things to occupy myself, including podcasts and other Audible non-fiction books which just aren't for me. As a lover of Paula Hawkins physical books, I decided to see if she had anything available on Audible.....now I'm hooked! Finished this within 2 days and will be looking to download more! Wondering why I didn't do this sooner!!!

A Gripping Read

Although I really enjoyed the story and the narration I was surprised at how short the book was! I hadn’t realised when I purchased it that it was such a short read. Still enjoyable as I find all of Paula Hawkins books.

mediocre

I loved other books by this author but didn't enjoy this one - waste of a credit

Good but short

I didn’t realise until I had paid for this that it is very short, not a full novel, but good plot and well read

Not intriguing

Disappointing. Hawkings' books are usually intriguing and unpredictable. Not this one. Weak story, weak plot, weak characters ... I don't recommend spending money on this.

Alright

This is OK if you're after a quick read/listen and have a couple of hours to spare. I wouldn't listen again but I did want to get to the end for the conclusion although I had guessed earlier on where it was heading.
