Summary

Gage

I lost my first love. This time, I'm going to win the second girl who owns my heart—no matter the stakes.

Being the drummer for Raging Chaos is the only thing that’s kept me going for the past six years. Even the music isn’t enough to drown out the guilt that's been suffocating me since what happened to Tori.

When Sadie storms into my life, ripping through my trepidations, sorrows, and bitterness, I can't help but wonder if she could be my second chance.

I could love her, but in order to do that, I have to stop hating myself first.
Easier said than done. Before I have the chance to mend this broken heart, I push Sadie away and hit rock bottom.

The next time I see her, she has a baby. And if that's not hurtful enough, it's not just any baby.

It’s my baby.

Sadie

Bleeding hearts can still beat. I'm living proof of that.

At first, Gage was just someone to take away the pain—until I realized he was battling demons of his own.

I never meant to get too close to the devil with the drumsticks, but once I did, he shoved me out of his life with a force.

My heart might be cracked, but his is completely broken. And trying to save him would destroy us both.

So, I do the right thing and I walk away—not only to protect me but also our unborn baby.

I had no idea who Gage was to the world when I slipped into his bed. Now that I'm out of it, it's clear he’ll have to clean up his act before he’s father material.

But then we meet again, and I'm reminded of the man he could be.

The man he was born to be, before tragedy struck and the chaos left his heart barely beating.

Author's note: Like real life, the characters are far from perfect, make morally gray decisions, and deal with subjects that may be sensitive for some listeners. If you are looking for a safe romance, this series is not for you. Trigger warnings (which contain spoilers) can be found on my website.

Awesome

Still reeling from the death of his girlfriend years ago, Gabe embraces the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle, when he meets Sadie at the Cemetery he sees something in her that he can empathise with but as they get closer he can’t cope and pushes her away on the most awful way. A year later the women are at the park when Kayleigh recognises her, and she has a toddler with her who has Gabe,s eyes.

Fantastic story brought to life by Gregory and Kelsey. Loved it and couldn’t stop listening.

Gage

If you’ve listened to the whole series you’ll know what Gage has been through since losing Tory. Even when he found Sadie he pushed her away but he couldn’t deal with life after she left so he took an over dose and almost died . Forward a year and he’s doing well and then he finds out Sadie has been keeping something from him will he turn back to drugs or will he give a life where Sadie is in it a chance .

My Thoughts on Bleeding Chaos

I felt like this was the perfect ending for this series. It was very well deserved for Gage and Sadie as well. They both had been through so much and I was elated for them both to get through it and find their HEA. From start to finish this book was well done. Gage had to earn back broken trust. Sadie had to work through fears and open herself up, and I especially loved that through it all they not only realized they had each other but they also had this incredible support system in the family they’d made over the years. This certainly wasn’t a light and fluffy story. It dealt with addiction, loss of so many kinds, and the very real struggles of single parents. But it also had romance and steamy times and an amazing ending. The narration just brought it to a whole new level. I loved both narrators and felt they were perfectly suited for the characters. I look forward to more books by this author and more performances by these narrators.

Tough topics, beautiful romance

Not an easy listen, this story dealt with tough topics but oh so well. As a huge fan of the series, I was both excited and hesitant about his story. It didn’t disappoint! Full of emotion, love and regret and so much loss, there were many tears shed. And this story was brought to life so well by Gregory Salinas and Kelsey Navarro. As wonderful listen! Dark and gritty…

This is not your typical love story. Gage is the drummer in a famous band who deals with substance abuse and he finds Sadie, a broken woman who lost everything she had in one day. Their first encounter is not a meet cute, rather a very bizarre cemetery visit. They have a torrid romance but then the ugly showed. It’s a sweet end though. Great narration.

A Secret Baby Rock Star Romance

Bleeding Chaos by Nikki Ash is a secret baby rock star romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Gregory Salinas and Kelsey Navarro. This is the fourth book in the Love and Lyrics series.

I absolutely love Nikki's books! I can't help but binge them in one sitting. I loved the relationship that bloomed between Gage and Sadie. I really enjoyed getting both of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Gregory and Kelsey did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like secret baby romances, rock star romance, or contemporary romances.

Exceptional Story & Listen🎧Compelling & Heartfelt

Nikki Ash created something very special when she created this series and the amazing world it is set in, each book is just as fabulous as the other and I would like to say she saved the best for last, but that would not be fair to the first three books, I can say this is the most emotional, the most gut wrenching and heart-rending one. Not only did Gage’s story tear my heart to pieces, but so did Sadie’s, two lost souls or rather two souls lost in the grief of what they lost and not being able to move past it. From the start of this series and throughout, we watched a tortured Gage struggle and his story tells everything, and he loses even more before he picks himself up and learns to let go and live again. He was at Tori’s gravesite when he heard her, it is not uncommon to hear crying in the cemetery, but this cry was different, it called to him and when he saw her he recognized something in her, something he could relate to and he did not know why he wanted to help her and he does that night and several times after. The two shared a bond like no other, knew what they were going thru, they also got lost in each other to help ease the pain. Was this a healthy way for either, probably not and one of the reasons it all goes wrong, the other is Gage’s self-sabotage, which causes Sadie to walk and not look back, but she gets something special out of their relationship, something that gives her a reason to live and start over, though her devastating loss will always be a part of her. But life, or maybe it is fate that brings these two back into each other’s lives again. Either way, it was great to watch them get to know each other again and see how each grew into their own. This wonderfully written and beautifully plotted story not only captivated my attention the entire time, but tugged on my heartstrings too. It was great to see the other Raging Chaos members and their significant others, loved how they supported Gage and were with him through thick and thin. Nikki Ash, thank you for this amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧  And for the amazing narration, Gregory Salinas and Kelsey Navarro did an outstanding job bringing these characters to life and did so with a complete understanding of who they were portraying, giving each a voice that fit that character’s persona to a tee and were believable in every role they played. Salinas played Gage’s role with perfection, grasped every side of his personality, from tortured self to his insecurities to his determination, and Navarro did the same for Sadie, grasping her grief and sorrow, her insecurities and her strengths. Both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance and had you feeling every single one. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this exceptional listen.

Beautiful Story.

I knew this one was going to be emotional but I didn't think it be right at the beginning. This is Gage and Sadie's story. This can be read or listened to as a stand alone but I recommend doing it in order because you get the whole experience of all the characters. This one is a bit heavier than the others. Both characters are dealing with devastating losses and the narrators did an excellent job giving the characters a voice and portraying the emotions.

Heartbreakingly Hopeful

I think this was my favorite of the whole series. It deals with very heavy topics but in a good way and it's heartbreaking yet filled with love and hope all at the same time. It's well written with a great storyline and excellent narration. I really enjoyed all the interactions and relationships between all these characters.

Bleeding Chaos!

"Bleeding Chaos" is the fourth story in the "Love and Lyrics" stories about the musicians of Raging Chaos. This can be read as a stand alone story but there are connected characters and events. To get the most out of this story I would read the others before this one. The story is on the dark side and contains some potential triggers. This one is about the drummer of the group, Gage, and Sadie, who crashed into his life. Gage is dealing with guilt and pain from his past. He is coping through drugs and alcohol, so not really dealing with the tragedy. When Sadie and Gage meet she is dealing with her own tragedy and pain. They end up in bed together until Gage pushes her away. When she finds out she is pregnant Gage is in a really bad place in his life. She decides to not tell him because of how bad off he is. When he realizes he has a daughter things change. This is an emotional one and I enjoyed every bit of this story. The narrators did a good job bringing the characters and story to life. I like how these two come about and grow in love.

Best of the Series

Wow. Just Wow.
This book slayed me. The author outdid herself. I was crying so hard at one point, I had to stop to book to rehydrate.

It's a story of to people that have faced great loss. They meet and for a brief time one holds the other up. I won't get into the plot because I don't want to spoil to story. The FMC was perfect for Gabe.
The narrators did a great job.

I was provided a a copy of the book for for an honest review but the opinion is entirely my own.

Bittersweet Romance!

I don't know if I've ever read a book that was filled with so much sorrow and loss and still qualifies as a romance! It's Gage's story, the drummer of Raging Chaos, who is barely living as the story opens. The band are seniors in high school, getting ready to go to LA to get their break. Gage has a girlfriend he loves more than life but her life is a mess and her home life is horrific. When her mother turns on her, she realizes what she has to do. Gage is destroyed, but he buries his feelings in drugs and alcohol and goes on to be a part of a famous band. When he's visiting Tory's grave, he sees a young woman lying by a headstone and it seems that she's mourning as he is. He feels the need to protect her and, for a while, that's what he does, but the drugs and alcohol have been wreaking havoc with his life and he shoves her away. Sadie lost her entire life the night her drug-addicted husband took their son for a ride to the store, and they never came back. Sadie and Gage found solace together until he fell apart. Once Sadie's gone from his life, he realizes that he needs to make a change. I had my doubts, since he was so deep into addiction, but the way he saved himself was extraordinary. I loved their story, but it took me a while to get there.
I enjoyed the audiobook even more than the ebook, because it was narrated so well and it allowed me to feel the story on a deeper level.

Gage and Sadie

Book 4 of the series, and my favorite. Gage is the drummer in the band. He has struggled with addiction for years. His high school girlfriend Sadie committed suicide. His mother dies when he was young. He feels responsible for not saving them, driving his demons. While visiting Sadie’s grave, he see a women with gut wrenching cried laying on a nearby graves. She lost her husband and two children within 12 hours. Later the police are trying to take her away. Gage steps in,and takes care of her until she can function on her own. Meanwhile Gage’s demons are driving him, and he has a failed attempt at suicide. Ultimately, he goes to rehab, and stays away for a year. Later he learns those steamy scenes with Sadie resulted in a baby. This book touches on the difficulty of losing a loved one of fighting addiction, trying to recover while not falling to temptations. Good story, and times a tearjerker. The narration was great.

This listen had me feeling every bit!

Having listened to three previous installments in this series i've been looking so forward to more! Ever since i found out about this audiobook i wanted to listen to it. I got into this audiobook and right back into the Love & Lyrics world right away. I so enjoyed this listen!

Having listened to both Gregory Salinas and Kelsey Navarro's narration before i was so happy when i found out that these two were narrating Bleeding Chaos! The way Kelsey an Gregory not only pulled me in, but my heart as well was so fantastic. From the pain, the real, and the love, Gregory and Kelsey captured all of that and every bit in between through their narration as Gage and Sadie. The levels of feels they added with their voices truly got to me.

Gage and Sadie's journey pulled me in! What your life is crumbling slowly around you, can you let someone in? This is the question Gage and Sadie both have faced. As their hearts have endured so much, it leads Gage and Sadie going their own ways. When these two are brought back face to face, Gage is in for a surprise. Can they find a way out of the chaos and into some sort of solace for both their souls? This time it isn't just their hearts on the line.

Gage and Sadie's journey is far from an easy one. My heart shattered and felt every bit of their journey. There was such realness as well as darkness that poured from these characters and this story that got me right in the chest. Both Gage and Sadie had been through so much in their lives and i felt for them. I didn't know how they'd tackle their inner battles, everything between them, and their new reality which had me even more glued to my earbuds. From the range of emotions Gage and Sadie put me through to the undeniable chemistry / connection they shared, i so enjoyed their story!

I was so glad to be back in the Love & Lyrcis world again!

With Bleeding Chaos, Ms.Ash has created such a good story that doesn't shy away from the tough and brings the heart and feels as well! I can always count on her words to bring out so much within me. I can't wait to pick up what she comes up with next! Gregory and Kelsey nailed it with their narration! I am so looking forward to listening to more of their narration in the near future.

Be sure to read the author's note located in the book description as this book tackles certain subjects that could be dark and triggering for listeners.
