Summary

The brutal murder of a woman in a lonely beach cottage, huge footprints found nearby, a meandering tramp singing snatches of opera in the night! Superintendent Minter - "Sooper", rattles around the countryside on his noisy motorbike and tries to find a connection. Hampered by amateur detective Gordon Cardew, aided and admired by lawyer Jim Ferraby and the beautiful Elfa Leigh, Sooper finds the case further complicated by another murder. The mysterious `Big Foot' anticipates Minter's every move and only by delving into the past does he solve the case and bring the villain to justice.

Faults in the recording interrupted the audio.

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

The book, yes - it's an old fashioned Boys Own ripping yarn. But the audio is deeply flawed with skips and a break at an important point.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bigfoot?

The unexpected episode in Super's garage.

Which scene did you most enjoy?

Descriptions of Superintendent Minter's motorcycle.

Did Bigfoot inspire you to do anything?

Yes - ask for more Edgar Wallace tales.

Any additional comments?

I was disappointed by the break in the audio .. this is so unusual in Audible products.

From a different age

The sound is a little rough, but this is a value-for-money read. Wallace keeps up a good pace with frequent changes of direction for the plot. 'Super' is a little two-dimensional, but it's a decent enough item from the 'Golden Age' of British crime writing.
