Big Deck Energy by Kim Loraine was a fun, flirty, and steamy good time! Kim Loraine brought all the swoon with this perfectly written romance that will leave her fans falling in love with all things "big decks." I loved everything about Elles and Ethan's mistaken identity to lovers' romance! The characters, the pets, the accents, the setting, just completely captivated my attention and my heart from start to finish.

Stella Hunter and Shane East narrate this audio in duet, which I love! In my mind, these two truly embody Elles and Ethan! Stella Hunter brings so much passion and heat to her performance of Elles's personality. She is spot on in conveying her determined, desirable and hesitant sides which makes you adore her character even more. Shane East is a dream as charismatic, hockey hunk, Ethan. The way he calls Elles "love" in his delicious British accent is sure to make you blush and fall a little harder for his Ethan. This duet narration is not to be missed!

Overall, I loved this audio! If you love mistaken identity romance with a British hockey hottie (aka the Emperor of Douche Bags) , a talented interior designer, a "Meet Cupid" dating app, visits to Pike's Place Market, sitting on a big deck watching orcas swim in the ocean, hot phone seggs, lots of in person steamy time, devoted pets, hockey players with accents, and an HEA that will be sure to melt hearts and leave you swooning, then you will love Elles and Ethan's romance! I always look forward to more from Kim Loraine!

First of all, thanks to Kim Loraine for that lovely, and very meaningful dedication. Had me smiling from the start! Really set the tone for this entire story.
Big Deck Energy is flirty, sexy, lighthearted, captivating. As with all Kim Loraine stories, the characters are likable and realistic, making me want to know more about them.
Narration by Shane East paired in duet with Stella Hunter brought to life Elles’ and Ethan’s story as well as all the other characters.
Each time I finish any of Kim Loraine’s stories, there is comfort in knowing that she may bring back some past characters of another book. It’s like staying in touch with an old friend. Love all her series and can listen to them each multiple times and never get bored.

Another Fabulously Entertaining Story & Listen🎧

I am a huge fan of Kim Loraine’s writing style, she has a knack of bringing you into her stories alongside the characters, giving you an inside view of what they are seeing, feeling and thinking. And she creates the best characters, ones that you can connect with and relate to, ones that are easy to like, care about and even fall for. I adored the two lead characters, Elles and Ethan, they meet in the most interesting of ways. Elles has not had the best luck with men but her friend signs her up for a new dating app and she winds up sending messages to someone on that app, with the hottest of abs and the handle of “Big Deck Energy”. Ethan Bryne is a recent addition to the Seattle Cyclones Hockey Team and management asked him, as a team member, to sign-up for a new dating app for a promotional tryout. He had no interest in dating, but did so because he was a team player. He was not expecting to meet anyone or to be entertained, but that happens when he receives an angry message from Belles Elles, anger not towards him but for all men. Ethan finds Elles messages very entertaining and he just messages back, the witty banter between them is hilarious and after a while both start looking forward to hearing from the other, finally agreeing to meet and when they do the chemistry between them strengthens further. This is an entertaining and fabulously delightful romance novel that is wonderfully plotted with a perfect balance of drama, humor, heartfelt emotions, and some hot sexy times. Kim Loraine, thank you for another amazing story, the laughs and the emotional rollercoaster ride. It was great to see Maverick and Clara again, too.

🎧📚🎧 And for the fabulous narration, Shane East and Stella Hunter, enough said!! These two make a great team performing in duet style and doing wonders bringing these characters and story to life. They have a complete understanding of the characters they portrayed, gave each a voice that fit that character’s persona to a tee, sounding believable, and just I picture the characters to sound. Shane East nails it as Ethan and Stella Hunter does the same for Elles, both handle the witty banter and dialogue with ease and land the humor effortlessly. You can hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture the characters’ emotions and project them into their performance. These entertaining storytellers are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another exceptional listen.

Charming and Funny

This book was, gah!! I don’t even have the words! I loved it from beginning to end and could not stop listening. Kim Loraine brings us another flirty, feel good, swoony sports rom com featuring your newest book boyfriend, Ethan, a sexy, cocky, sweet British hockey player. Ethan and Elles have sizzling chemistry, and their witty banter will have you laughing out loud. They were super cute together and I enjoyed how their relationship developed over time from friends to lovers. Let’s not forget Ethan’s hockey player team mates who made wonderful side characters and added some charm to this already captivating story. I listened to this on audio and i never wanted it to end. Shane East & Stella Hunter narrate this story in duet style and beautifully bring the story to life. Shane’s deep and dreamy voice was the perfect casting for Ethan. He was able to showcase Ethan’s charming, flirty, and sweet personality and the different accents he used for each of the hockey player was brilliant. Stella has become a favorite voice to listen to. She was fantastic as Elles, always spot on in bringing out the sass, passions, and vulnerabilities for Elles. Overall, this audiobook is a must listen. You will fall in love with Ethan and Elles and be hooked to find out what happens next with Savage & Becca.

Loved this spicy rom-com

Could not get enough of this fun, steamy, lighthearted romance from Kim Loraine! Big Deck Energy was such an entertaining listen, and it's a pure rom-com delight!

Elles has a habit of attracting the worst men - those that don't like strong, independent women. So when he gets wrongly fired from her job, she is swearing off men. So what happens? Of course the perfect man lands right in her lap thanks to a dating app that her friends sign her up for. Now, someone should have warned her not to drink and DM in the app, because her sights land on what she is sure is a catfishing thirst-trap of a man, and she lets him have it. When she's drunk. So she holds nothing back. And this was all unsolicited - the poor man didn't even reach out to her first!

What happens is a relationship that slowly builds. Online friendship turns to voice messages turns to phone calls turns to finally, months later, meeting in person and discovering that you're perfect for each other. But when BigDeckEnergy, aka Ethan, is keeping secrets from Elles, things go a bit awry. The good news - they don't stay awry for too long.

Elles is funny, determined, smart, and highly entertaining. Ethan is swoony and seriously falls in love with Elles immediately because she is really falling for him, not his career or bank account. Add to this mix a nut-punching dog and a cat with murder mittens and boundary issues, and they make for a hysterical family.

Small touches in this book really brought out the humor, too. Chapter 12, people, starts with a cameo from a girl with perhaps the most gumption EVER - just a hysterical little touch that brought laughs and made this such a fun listen. The audio, narrated by Stella Hunter and Shane East, was beautiful. I loved how much Elles and Ethan laughed in this book, and you could hear the genuine laughs in the performances by Stella and Shane.

Can't wait for more from this swoony hockey players! Bring it on, Kim Loriaine!

Elyse has bad luck with guys but her luck is turning back around when she meets the hottest and mouthwatering British Hockey Player, Ethan. I love how playful the characters were by chatting on the phone or texting with each other. They had great chemistry as you read/listen more and more of their cute and flirty banters. Shane East and Stella Hunter were the voices for the characters and I might add that these 2 together never fails to bring characters to life. A Great pleasant pair indeed! It was quite short love story about a Hockey player and a girl who just trying to give up men due to her past but this one was just low drama, full of fun and giddiness!!! It’s puppy love and feel good vibes on this one!

This is perfect for Stella and Shane to narrate!

I could not wait to listen to this book. When two of your favorite narrators combine with one of your favorite authors, it’s a non-decision to grab and listen.

Kim Loraine writes the most amazing characters. Read in duet, Shane East and Stella Hunter do an amazing job of bringing Ethan and Elles to life.

You will be smiling at this one from the dedication. It’s just that good.

Absolutely loved BDE

Stella Hunter and Shane East were just perfect as Elles and Ethan. Kim Loraine knew what she was doing when she wrote Big Deck Energy. This was such a fun and entertaining yet swoon worthy book that was made to be done in duet audio. Truly couldn’t have asked for anything better.

Elles has been burned by workplace romance so she is determined to steer clear of those situations. She signs up for a new dating app and ends up sending a not so nice message to “Big Deck Energy”. This leads to some back and forth chatting between the two and starts a friendship that hopefully will lead to more.

When these two finally meet up, the sparks fly like hockey pucks across the ice. Elles has no idea who Ethan is and what he does for a living. This fact is something that Ethan appreciates because it’s hard to know if women are seeing him or dollar signs and his celebrity status. Ethan is looking for something real and he believes he’s found that with Elles.

I loved these two together. They were cute and smoking hot as well. The narration was perfectly done, as it always is with these fantastic narrators. This book is low in drama and high on fun, sexy, sweet, swoony, and flirty with Elles and Ethan navigating a new relationship.

Can’t wait for what’s to come in this series.

This book is absolute perfection!!

All I have to say is that Kim must REALLY love her fans because it showed in every word in this book. I loved the dedication. It made me smile so big! 
Ethan is a hot British hockey player who joins the local team after a rough go of it with his last team. Elise has had bad luck with guys lately and her most recent date ends up getting her fired. She and her friend happen upon Ethan’s profile one night after having a few drinks and she sends him a scathing barrage of messages. He ends up responding and the correspondence continues between them.
I loved that Elise was not shy about what she wanted once they met. I also really enjoyed their friendship that they started via the dating app. They took their time getting to know each other, even when it gets a little spicy and that made them even closer. Ethan loved the anonymity of the app and being able to get to know her without his job getting in the way.

I think chapter 12 is probably my favorite from all the funny stuff with the movers and with Wayne towards the end.

Thank you Kim for that “good girl” line. Chapter 5 killed me dead. The first kiss....OMG. Hell, there so many great lines in this book. I have lots of notes.

Hilarious and sweet. A must listen!

BDE captured me from the first sentence until the last. I just adored Elles and Ethan’s story! I have come to love Kim Loraine’s cowboys and falling for her big bulky sexy British hockey player was no surprise. She writes the swooniest heroes!!

Elles has had some unpleasant experiences with men in the past. She has deemed them all to be “douchebags” and has no intention of connecting with anyone on the dating app her best friend set her up on. But, fate has other plans for her after one too many martini's and she is messaging @BigDeckEnergy not hesitating at all to tell him how she really feels about men like him.

Ethan, a sexy pro hockey player had no interest in connecting with anyone on the app either. However, he is being pressured by a social media campaign to match with someone when he is slammed with the bold and witty messages from Elles and cannot help but engage with her and responds. So begins their flirty, fun, banter via DM.

Shane East and Stella Hunter narrate this story in duet and I loved every minute of it. They bring this story alive with their animated voices, flirty text exchanges, laugh out loud banter and scorching hot chemistry. I can never get enough of Shane’s British accent but he also does a variety of other accents from his teammates that I loved as well. Stella as Elles was fantastic. Her personality is confident, feisty and sweet and she did a phenomenal job portraying her.

This is a super fun, light, heartwarming listen. It is low on angst and high on heart and heat and I highly recommend it! I am looking forward to Savage and Becca’s story next!
