Summary
MIA
Jay Bradshaw. My boyfriend's best friend.
He was never supposed to be anything more - until he was.
When my college boyfriend betrayed me and left, breaking my heart, Jay picked a side. He chose me. He stayed, and for the past six years, he's been my rock, my anchor, my compass....
Now we've grown up, finished school, and have careers. Me as a nurse practitioner; Jay as a doctor. He's been everything I needed, but now I want more. I can't stop thinking about him, and I'm done hiding it.
It's time to find out if he wants me, too.
JAY
A friend. Not a lover. That's who Mia Waters is to me.
I've tried damn hard to make sure our relationship stays that way. I'm the shoulder she leans on, the last one to talk to her before she goes to sleep at night.... And after six years, she means more to me than my own family.
The moment I met her, I wanted her. But she belonged to someone else, so I pushed the need down. I didn't take what I wanted. I'm not that guy. Her happiness meant more.
Until now. Until she asks me a question that shatters our unspoken boundaries. "Have you ever thought about having sex with me?" Six years of keeping her at arm's length, and I can feel myself starting to give in and lose control with her.
I can't let it happen. There are reasons I didn't get close. She hasn't let go of her ex-boyfriend, not really. And she has no idea about the lies I've told her.
What if she finds out about me? What if she finds out who I really am? And what will she do when I leave?

This book can bend me anytime :)
If you could sum up Bend in three words, what would they be?
Passionate, Realistic, Hopeful!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Bend?
There were more than one but here is the one that hurt me the most...
When Jay showed up in church and Mia was already hurting and beyond devastated and to see him standing there without any warning at all just made her grief hurt even more.
What about Bunny Warren and Matthew Holland ’s performance did you like?
I have never heard of these two before this book but they absolutely BLEW my mind away.
They were so so so great with their performance and did beyond amazing.
I even had to write to author directly and brag about how crazy good they were.
I loved the book and its story before and now I love it even more!!!
I have the desire to listen to it again this very instant:
Well done Bunny and Matthew.
I am going to check out their other works too and get on those as well.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
At one moment I caught myself smiling and feeling so at peace and in love with these beautiful characters and their personalities.
And my heart hurt too and I might have shed a tear or two at many moments in this remarkable story that touched my soul.
Any additional comments?
This is a good story, with true quality and it deserves to be read by many!
And if you love audiobooks you don't want to miss out on this one people!
It is just simply that good!

*5 Stars for this Friends to Lovers Journey*
Jay and Mia are like two peas in a pod. I don't even have words for how much I loved this book and their story. We've all had friendships with the opposite sex that we always wonder "what if" there was more. What if she feels the same or he feels the same and wants more out of our friendship. It is difficult for guys and girls to be friends and not develop feelings over time and that is exactly what happens in Bend.
We follow Mia and Jay, best friends, both in the medical field and both holding secrets form one another for years. Until one night Mia decides she has to know the answer to her longing question, has he ever wanted to have sex with me? Their interactions are great, they are fun and flirty with each other after the initial knee jerk reaction to Mia's question Jay has. There are things in Jay's past he knows Mia must know, but his secret is forced to he unmasked before he's ready. These two best friends journey down a path together if a friend's with benefits arrangement that is bound to lead to more, or force them to bend and break apart.
The emotions in this and all the past of Jay's childhood come resurfacing and make for a very emotional read. Both characters are super strong people who know what they want. They just have to shuffle through to heartache, loss and past mistakes to find a way to move past it all and make their friendship survive.
I really enjoyed the narrated version of this too, having read it originally via Kindle.

Haven’t finished yet
And idk if I will because frankly and I can’t believe I’m saying this, but there’s just too much sex. Not enough storyline. I find the male character to be an annoying, arrogant jerk and don’t see how they’ve been friends for so long or what’s like able about him besides that he must be mind blowing in bed.

superb narrators and story
It's really hard to find dual narrators that matches the story. This one is by far has superb narrators and story. Story is hot and entertaining, I can truly say while listening, I felt like I'm in the story and felt the emotions from the hero and the heroin. It's romance with little angst which made this an easy listen. I highly recommend!

Five star perfection
I loved everything about this audio. From perfect narration (um why doesn’t Matthew Holland narrate more romance?!) to steamy sex scenes and finally ending with a perfect love story. This was a wonderfully written friends to lovers story which had just the right amount of angst to it. I wish Kivrin Wilson had more audio to listen to!

I just loved this book!
Every once in a while you find one of those stories that is just the perfect mix of humor, sexiness, angst and drama and this is one of those. The heroine and hero are best friends for the past 6 years and spend a lot of time together just hanging out, talking and doing things friends do. But they both have a secret- they both want each other pretty badly. The hero, Jay, is a medical resident with a painful past that he tells no one about. When he finishes his residency, he plans to join his uncle in charitable medical work overseas in war torn areas. The heroine, MIA, is a nurse practitioner in a busy OB-GYN office. One day while they are at her apartment, she asks him if he ever thought about having sex with her. Resistant at first, Jay finally agrees to a friends with benefits arrangement, despite his worry it will change everything and ruin their friendship. They find out they have amazing chemistry and seem pretty content for a while, though Jay still worries about what happens when he leaves. Throw in a beloved sick grandmother, Mia’s rather rude and manipulative father and Jay’s past which Mia doesn’t know about and things get dicey pretty fast. I loved the interaction between all the characters and the sex scenes were pretty hot too. There’s turmoil near the end, but a HEA makes up for it. Narration was perfect.
