Summary

The only thing worse than death is living in hell on Earth.

Disorder and chaos ravage London when thousands are contaminated by the accidental discharge of an experimental bio-weapon. The disease robs its hosts of rational thought, giving them a singular desire - find more living flesh to infect.

Cut off from information and senior leadership, one squadron of soldiers under the command of their senior NCO, Sergeant Major Johnson, finds itself forced to operate independently until the remnants of military and government command re-establish themselves safely at sea in the English Channel.

The infected, however, have a different agenda. They gather into massive hordes, sweeping the countryside and leaving nothing alive in their wake.

Don't miss this heart-stopping intro to a zombie thriller series about survival against all odds! You've never experienced the undead like this before.

Even better listening to it.

I buy everything Devon C Ford writes without even knowing the synopsis. Why? because i know i will never be disappointed
.

I cant recommend this version of the Zombie Apocalypse more. Try it and you will be hooked. If Zombies are not your thing try his After it Happened series.

Zompoc Perfection

From start to finish this audiobook kept me hooked. John Lee’s original voice acting talent enriched Devon c Ford’s genius writing style. The story is so realistic that had a virus actually spread, this is what would have happened. This book has heart and I cannot wait for the next instalment. 20/10 if that were possible

Absolutely brilliant

I have previously read and enjoyed very much this book, and now to listen to it come to life in audio is brilliant.

The story (series) which I have thoroughly enjoyed due to its superb writing (as expected from DCF) and well written and believable characters has been brought to life by John Lee's narration.

I cannot wait until the next book is out on audible!!

credit drain train

love a good apocalyptic story but this just feels like another one of these ongoing story lines that could be easily condensed down into 1 or 2 books. rather they release 4 at this point and still no end in sight.

The 80's Army meets the Apocalypse

This was my first ever audio book, never really fancied them before, I was wrong.

The story, I've read before I'll add, was brought to life by the narrator in a really good way.

I love Devon C Ford's books, this is an excellent enhancement to them.

Can't wait for the rest of the Toy Soldiers series to be released in this format.

great story

I really enjoyed the story but I don't like the narrator's voice, his accent is weird

Narrator not the best

I feel like the story was going to be good, but the narrator had the most boring voice, this resulted in me not caring about the characters in the slightest and I was simply left bored. It's a shame as I normally enjoy the author's work, but after 2 hours of listening I returned the title for a refund, I was that fed up.
