Usually Graeme's books include lots of photos of artifacts. I was expecting a PDF of the images to be included with this audio book, but there are none included. It would greatly improve the experience to be able to see the images.

More of the same

I was a little disappointed with Graham’s latest, I was expecting the final instalment to both bring new research and to conclude / wrap everything from the first two works together. What I got was more of the same, which if you’ve come this far is just a bit dull! Oh another mound in the USA that is impossible to imagine accurately, how thrilling!

The interesting part about the Younger Dryas Comet which in my view is the part that ties everything together, only forms about the last third or quarter of the book. And again, I think Graham mentioned this in Magicians of the Gods, so if you've done further research on this since, there’s no real new information provided here. Like the rest of the book it’s just packaged as a story of Graham’s globe trotting Adventures.

I also found by this final part Graham’s accent really started to grate. He has a posh English accent yet pronounced words like ‘data’ the American way, throw in really bizarre pronunciation of place names and by the end of the book I was glad it was over.

I’m trying to not be too harsh, but looking back I can’t really think of anything to latch on to that was ground breaking or new information. If anything, despite its length, there are things missing. Such as resent research showing human remains 130,000 years old in the Philippines, not sure how that would fit in to Graham’s theory.

The book just felt like it was lacking something, perhaps because I think he goes too far off course with unsubstantiated claims. For example, although I'm actually really an board with the use of Ayahuasca, talking about it in this installment was a bit much for me.

If you’re already familiar with Graham’s previous publications then you’ll want to listen just for the sense of completion, but don’t expect too much.

UPDATE 1st May 2019: Just listened to The Joe Rogan Experience, #1284 - Graham Hancock, released 23rd April 2019. The Podcast Episode is a discussion with Graham revolving around America Before. However... it is actually far more interesting, concise, and entertaining than the book itself. I recommend listening to the podcast first and if you're still thirsty for more, then dive in to the whole book.

Good Research, Scientic America stuff, but boring.

Firstly I have loved all Grahams previous works. I also thought the book interesting, but gave up on the
book about 8 hours in, that's my personal limit on listening to how old certain mounds of earth are in the USA.
To be honest I did not find the book, "entertaining" more a chore to read, hence 5 stars as its good material,
very well read also, but only 2 stars for story, its totally boring..

Another Classic from Graham Hancock

I completely binged this audible. Graham is such an orator that it doesn't even seem like he's reading it. Almost as if he's memorised the whole book, adding genuine passion and emotion to his words.
He brings a new, ancient world to life that I'd never imagined, and gives the Native Americans the great respect and honour they deserve, highlighting the history that was robbed from them, and the world, following the European conquest.
The historical tracing in this book almost brushes us up against the lost civilisation humanity has obsessed over for thousands of years. So much evidence has been lost over time, but perhaps more awaits, and we'll find the truth if we keep on searching.

Brilliant

Great book full of interesting prehistory. Another worth while read by Graham Hancock exploring the usual prehistory but this time referencing main land America as his point of interest. This highlights another area of prehistory’s advanced civilisations.

Another great from Hancock.

Yet another well researched and executed book by Grahame Hancock. America before shows us how much damage the so called "Clovis first" model of the America's has done. This book has set a mark for which the Archaeological community needs to catch up to.

Excellent and thoughtful

Another excellent book beautifully read by Graham Hancock. Very compelling and somewhat technical in places this book brings into the light of day the latest scientific data from the Earth Sciences , genetics and anthropology with regard to America at the younger dryas event.

Mind bending

Hancock provides more than enough references and evidence to make this a very compelling and frequently terrifying argument. Incredible work connecting so many studies and putting together a picture of massive terrestrial and cosmic implications! If nasa has now seen fit to bombard comets someone somewhere is taking this seriously thank goodness!
