Summary

Very rarely in the Bible does God command someone to "stay". He opens a door, and then he invites us to walk through it—into the unknown. And how we choose to respond will ultimately determine the lives we will lead and the people we will become. In fact, to fail to embrace the open door is to miss the work God has made for us to do.

In All the Places to Go...How Will You Know?, best-selling author John Ortberg opens our eyes to the countless doors God places before us every day, teaches us how to recognize them, and gives us the encouragement to step out in faith and embrace all of the extraordinary opportunities that await.

So go ahead—walk through that door. You just might do something that lasts for eternity.

Insightful

This is an excellent, insightful and thought provoking book. It is well written with moments of humour that are then followed by an insightful point that often require some deep self examination and prayer. I highly recommend it.

Hoping for a revealing & learning gospel text.

This book was like listening to a prankster explain what the Lord has in store for us.
It was childish, rude, a complete waste of time & even insulting to some one yearning to know more of God's will.

A wise man with wise words

This book was recommended to me by Bod Merrit. It made me laugh and it helped me understand God better. I feel more prepared for a God-sized challenge.

Encouraging & Empowering!!

Over the last 4 years, my wife and I are continually being placed into new and challenging seasons...being asked to leave jobs, move states, leave communities, join new churches, abandon financial security, join music ministries, and leave them, all while having kids and living check to check.

This book has affirmed many things about this adventure and opened doors we’re going through, and has convicted me of many things I’ve done wrong in the process....all the while reminding me of God’s never ending and abundant grace and mercy.

A must read for any Christ follower hoping to live this life in surrender to Him!

Couldn’t stand the voice

I’m sure the book is awesome and the narrator is a nice guy, but I struggled for the first 2 1/2 chapters and returned it.

interesting and foundational ideas

I looked the style and the content. it is honest and gives you the opportunity to look at your pathway to see if there are changes to be made in the way you are thinking.
