Refreshing story!
Great read... Great narration. Please try this book!
Chase whose a train wreck actress, gets a wake up call. Enter Olivia, her therapist who is trying to avoid her own life problems. They're in Olivia's sister, the boy next door, and Chase's long time friend. It has a hint of steel magnolias going on.

A book of maturing...
In this tale, a movie star is out of control and addicted to drugs. She also has not been in a movie for a long time. Her name is Chase. Spencer wants her in his new film. But he needs to get her clean and sober. So he pays a life coach to come in and help her. Olivia had her own sister die of an overdose. And as you read, the actress she helps and her sister have a lot in common. But in the end, Chase doesn't want to act. She falls in love and finds herself while getting herself together.

Entertaining with some deep topics
Very good book. Thought it was going to just be a light read, and while it was funny and entertaining at times, it also broached some very deep subjects in a respectful way. Well done.

So incredibly disappointing
Let me start with I previously loved this author so was very much looking to listening to this audiobook. Then I got to chapter 5 and the life coach/therapist made a heinous snarky comment about when Chase, the main female character she was raped at the age of 13 I was done. I truly don’t care how good the rest of the book may be or all of the great ratings it has, I lost any desire to finish and ever listen to anything by this author ever again. I mean seriously, what was she thinking? I know it’s a work of fiction, but wow. So incredibly awful, inappropriate and that a woman wrote that no. Just no. Shame on her. I am sure I can never listen or read anything by this author again.

I liked the concepts
I liked the concept: therapy via "adulting boot camp". Also, a good reminder that therapists are people, too. It ends how it ends and there were a variety of option endings I could see coming - this one chose the Bollywood version.
Notes for the narrator: the word "chamois" is pronounce "SHAM-mee", the word "wizend" is pronounced ""WIZ-uhnd"

Big disappointment
I usually love Liz Talley books and was looking forward to reading Adulting. But this story is awful. Repetitive, annoying, depressing, and very heavy. No likes me characters. I hope she goes back to writing like she used to.
