About this listen
From USA Today best-selling author Claudia Burgoa comes a new best friend’s sister, forbidden romance filled with humor and angsty at times.
It all started on a dating app and a fake name.
Instead of a hot hook-up, I end up face-to-face with Kingston St. James.
He’s one of the most striking and wealthy men in Seattle—as well as my brother’s best friend.
Logic dictates I walk away, but curiosity wins and we follow Myka’s Easy Rules for Healthy Hookups:
Rule #1: Don’t expect anything.
Rule #2: Never wish for more.
Rule #3: Don’t swoon.
Rule #4: Don’t give endearing nicknames to your hookup.
Rule #5: Don’t be possessive, your hookup doesn't belong to you.
Confession time: I’m making up the rules as we go.
And surprise, surprise, this casual fling rapidly evolves into a friend-with-pretty-weird-benefits (and not the sexy kind).
Kingston is suddenly breaking the hookup rules. He’s all charm and affection, turning possessive and…probably hoping for more than just a fling.
We accidentally find ourselves tangled in something more than just a fling. It’s something dangerously close to love.
We might be heading into a collision where the most beautiful accident or the most disastrous end might happen.

Kingston & Myka
Accidentally in Love was a fun filled, quick listen that pulled my heartstrings. Myka and Kingston are two lonely blackened souls before a fortunate accident brings them to partake in fun smexy times. Despite all odds they get along and start to see each other as more than just a benefits kind of person.
Jason Clarke and Vivian La Rue are absolutely outstanding as Kingston and Myka.

Maybe accidental love is the best love
Okay, so maybe I love listening to Jason Clarke and am always on the lookout for books he has narrated but I don't always love every story. This one I did and along with Vivienne La Rue they made the story so beautiful, real, absorbing that I fell in love too, I suppose mine could also be considered accidental as it was not planned.
And this is the crux of the story, they don't plan to fall in love but let me give some more context. Kingston St James is restless. He wants to be in Seattle, at work, doing what he does best, instead he is in hiding with his two brothers whilst others attempt to find his sister who has been taken, they believe, by 'the Organisation.' When one brother suggests he relieve his boredom by joining a dating app he does just that only to be instantly matched with ... the little sister of his best friend, Myka.
Myka has no intention of ever having a serious relationship, her past also involves 'The Organisation' and a break-up which broke her heart. She is happy with a hook up and very happy that hook up is going to be Kingston St James but she will not give him her heart. Her plan is to create a list of Rules. The problem is they both seem to keep breaking them!
Not only is the story beautiful. A balance of romance, erotica, danger, angst - all of which Claudia Burgoa does so well, but the narrators truly do it justice. From the outset Jason Clarke's Kingston is gruff and aloof but as the story progresses his tone changes, becomes warmer - the nuance in the narration is fantastic. Vivienne LaRue does the same with Myka though she holds out a little longer, giving Myka time to come to terms with her past. They both give us the most wonderful performance and I will be hoping not only for more Claudia Burgoa stories but also more by these narrators.

Kingston and Myka!
Recent events have placed Kingston’s family in danger, so he finds himself in Luna Harbor until it is safe to return. Needing come companionship he decides to join a dating app but getting matched with his friend’s sister wasn’t part of the plan nor was the fact that one night with her would not be enough.
Myka has a devastating past so she keeps all her interactions casual. She isn’t deterred when she is matched with Kingston as she knows that he wants the same thing however some things are meant to be.
Although the reasons are different both Myka and Kingston bear the emotional scars of the past so neither was looking for love or a relationship, but their hearts didn’t agree. The narrators were a perfect match for the narrators as they portrayed the humor, emotion and romance of the story.

Just what I needed!
Oh what a story! Claudia Burgoa crosses over two series to give us King & Myka's book! Not only do they find each other on a dating app, but they have the same ideas when it come to relationships. They don't want commitment, just fun. So it could not be better! Myka is feeling her biological clock tick though and taking things into her own hands, she begins looking into adoption. Will this fill her needs? Or is there more to her and King? And what will happen when the family finds out? Or if King finds out about her past? This is a spicy, romantic and wonderful story, filled with all the Buroga goodness. Plus we get glimpses of all our favorites as the family pops in! Loved this addition and that Myka and King get their happily ever after!
Jason Clarke and Vivienne LaRue bring all the feels to this story with a fabulous narration. These two dive into the characters and bring them alive. Clarke is the aloof King at the beginning, but we can feel his change as Clarke's voice takes on different nuances. LaRue too holds Myka at arms length in the beginning. She keeps her there a bit longer as she deals with her past and her future. I love how these two meld the characters together and bring out all the love. It's a wonderful performance.
