Long ago Dragons ruled the land, but that time is long forgotten by most. What could the missing children of Dirae possibly have to do with the fearsome beasts of old? Clues point to a resurgence of the old Dragon-worshipping cult. Could the Dragon King have returned? And, if so, who can stop him?

A Great Boxset for All Ages!

**Non-spoiler review**

Author, Mark Hansen, brings to life this story of action, adventure, and fantasy. The way he writes his characters makes you care for them and you feel invested in their plight. If you have young readers (pre-teen or teenaged) this box set would be perfect for them.

Narrator, Andrew McDermott, brings his smooth brogue to this series. He masters each character’s voice so there is no doubt who is speaking. I was very impressed with his rendition of Kirraxal the dragon.

This 39+ hour boxset is well worth the one credit you will spend on it!

Epic Fantasy, Celtic Narrator, Massive scale

When I listen to Fantasy I like it to be epic in scale, plent of fights, no sex, diverse characters and a plot worth listening to. Mark Hansen fullfill's that and writes a full cast of characters but isn't afraid to sacrifice the few for the needs of the many. I started this book hating Karendelle due to her choices but by the end my opinion had changed. You find yourself rooting for certain characters and wanting others to get killed off.

I've listened to Andrew McDermott before and enjoy the Irish narration.

I strongly recommend you to choose which character you like most and follow them through their journey.

A Great book for Teens and twenty somethings that like battles, epic fantasy but no sex.

Loved it

A Tale of Heroes (Omnibus Edition) by Mark Hansen and Narrated by: Andrew McDermott was a great book and an even better audiobook. I quite enjoyed the fact that this audiobook contained the whole series in one. I really liked DeFrantis and Thissraelle. While I enjoyed all three books, book one was my favorite I just really enjoyed listening to the narrator bring DeFrantis to life for me.

I received a complimentary copy of this book. I voluntarily chose to read and post an honest review.

A very Broguey fantasy story

First off -- this is 39 hours of slow Scottish brogue. Listen to the preview, that gives an idea. I found this fine for a fantasy story. The voices are all nicely distinct. Very pleasant for background listening. Quite nice for late night listening in the dark, but for me, that meant ZZZZ. I had to listen to this during the day.

Quite suitable for young listeners. I enjoyed this story.

Heroes to love!

The set of three books ended much too quickly! The heroes and heroines are lovable and brave, yet some, like Eddiwarth, show how you can learn to be brave. The story is beautifully written and narrated, and I hated each time I had to hit pause. If you love stories of magical lands and losing yourself in people and places, you will love these books!

Unlikely heroes and riveting adventure

A Tale of Heroes by Mark Hansen
I so enjoyed this Tale of Heroes. Young people drawn together by events and destined to save their world. The different characters stories merge and the quest evolves. This is a large and wide-ranging saga, suitable for young adults and older, but with some violence and adult themes.

Best of all is the narration by Andrew McDermott with his beautiful brogue. The different characters are so well portrayed. This omnibus is an opportunity to be fully immersed in this World of Wynne. Great listen for a road trip.

Very Helpful!

I loved the blend of Fantasy with an Irish narrator. I also loved that each book didnt end in a cliff hanger but that there was an overall story as well.

A Fidgety Fantasy

This was my first experience with Mark Hansen's work, and I enjoyed it. There was a lot going on. The worldbuilding was extensive. There were many characters to keep track of and because of this, the story was choppy, jumping from one character to the next. Once I started to become more familiar with the characters, I found the story to be entertaining. There was a quest, magic, and dragons, all the necessary elements of a good fantasy. Andrew McDermott's narration was irregular. I enjoyed all the various voices that he provided for the different characters, but at times the narrative part had a lack of inflection. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.
