Ultimate in cosiness

Well no it’s not great literature but to a retired English woman it just oozes comfort and cosiness. No idea his true it is to the life of the real Amish but I’m not reading it for research purposes.
It’s just hours and hours of warm gentle escapism.

Another Delightful Book by Vannetta Chapman

Author Vannetta Chapman weaves a tale of a young Amish girl who returns home and her journey to find her place in her family’s Amish community. It’s Christmastime when she begins assisting the Amish “doctor,” providing extraordinary service and empathy. And the tale goes gently on.... I found I not only enjoyed the book, I learned from Annie.

A Simple Amish Christmas

This is a sweet story about how God uses the things that we may consider bad for His good and to carry out His will! Definitely a good story for teenagers.

Great story. Not great male voices.

The story was the expected sweet love story, and while predictable, that's sometimes just the story you can sit back and enjoy without having to think too hard or concentrate on names/places too much. However, while the narrator did a great job with various women's voices, I couldn't get past the way she read the male voices. For most of the book I thought one of the main male characters was an old man. (I later realize he is supposed to be 30 years old.) While he is portrayed as older and wiser than his years, he was given a grandpa voice. It made it hard to feel any connection between the characters because of that.
