Summary
What if Elizabeth Bennet had an experience as a young girl which taught her that a handsome face does not mean a man is trustworthy?
As a 12-year-old girl, Elizabeth Bennet witnesses a traumatic experience that shapes how she views men. She learns the hard way that a handsome face can mask cruelty and depravity. This experience forever alters her relationships with her sisters, her parents, and her friends. How will a changed Elizabeth Bennet react to Fitzwilliam Darcy's insults at the Meryton Assembly?
Can Elizabeth and Mr. Darcy overcome their altered pride and prejudices to find happily ever after?

Good interesting story, needed an editor though.
I did enjoy this variation. There was lots of content and some interesting twists I'd never seen in a JA variation. The narrator was quite good despite mispronouncing some words like "phaeton" and "caterwauling". BUT it really needed another edit before publication- there were quite a few examples of sentences which didn't make sense or had repeats of words in, like "around the room the dancers twirled around the room" and suchlike. Shame, because otherwise it's a good story.

Joining of the Bennet sisters
A long enjoyable story. Read the tale when first published. The Bennet sisters join forces to discover the worthy from the undeserving of the single men in want of a wife. Lydia is a spoiled brat and marries...not telling. Ok no spoilers here. Elizabeth and Darcy are yes in this tale however all our favorite characters join in with their own journeys and mates. The narration was good. The voice of Darcy was a little gruff for my taste but on the whole an enjoyable story with great narration.

A really good story
I loved the book and knew I had to get the audio book. It was awesome!
Elizabeth’s experience helps her change the fortunes of her family with the exception of Lydia.
I loved how the changes in the plot made the story more enjoyable.

the very best variation I have ever read
I have enjoyed this more than all of the other variations I have read which are many. I found this imaginative, engaging, original, and thoroughly delightful. if the author had just left out rolling the eyes which was not done except in sexual insinuation until 1950
