About this listen
Can the posh student win the uptight professor?
Helen Swift is almost 50 and tired of her day job as a professor at Oxford University. She prefers to write cozy mysteries under a well-hidden pen name in her Cotswolds cottage. She's also far too busy to even consider romance.
Posh girl, Victoria "Rory" Carlisle, is over the moon when she snags Helen as her DPhil supervisor, and not only because of Professor Swift's academic prowess. Rory takes an instant shine to Helen, who is far from charmed by her advances.
Can Rory make a dent in the wall that Helen has built around herself? And does Helen even have the time for such an inappropriate dalliance?

love this so much
Gorgeous narrator, lovely posh mcs, not too much angst which was very pleasant, just a jolly sexy love story in the English countryside. I don't usually like stories about massively privileged characters but these two were very likeable indeed.

more authors?
I've thoroughly enjoyed this series, and although it must be a complicated arrangement linking the plots with different authors, I really hope the village has more to come. I'm already a fan of Harpers, but throughout the 3, Gabrielle Baker has performed wonderfully, I especially liked her characterization of Ellie and Rory, very seductive.
