Summary
This firefighter has the perfect gift for a single mom and her little girl - if they’ll take him.
A holiday story from New York Times best-selling author Vivian Arend.
All Bradley Ford wants this holiday season is a date or three with sweet Hanna Lane. He’s the new fire chief, recently returned to Heart Falls to help his father after an accident. And while he wasn’t expecting to find someone like Hanna so soon, Brad’s certain that Hanna - and her adorable daughter, Crissy - are perfect for him and his plans to settle down.
Hanna’s been taking care of herself since she became a single mom at 16. The only pure, honest love she trusts is her little girl’s, but for the first time in eight years, her libido flares to life. Something about Brad draws her like a moth to a flame - which is always a bad idea for the moth.
When a fire leaves Hanna and Crissy homeless, Brad offers them shelter at his family’s homestead. Crissy insists they’ve moved in with Santa. Hanna’s not sure how she keeps ending up under the mistletoe with Brad. And Brad? He’s hoping for the best Christmas gift of all.

A balancing act between audible and reading.
Whilst I thoroughly enjoyed the narration of this book, I did not love it. Though the reading speed was comfortable in that I didn’t need to speed it up, I felt it was a bit monotone-ish at times and just lack emphasis at certain key points. Some certain parts came across better in audible but other parts I felt touched my heart more when being read. I was kindly gifted this audible book by the author. BOOK REVIEW A MUST read story of love and community. Ms Arend writes the type of stories about people and places that are so good, I really want to live there. A real feel good, heart-warming sweet read that just makes you tingle all over and leaves you feeling content and happy. Three wonderful characters are the crux of this story but all the others help make this story as good as it is. The strength of friendship and love shines through in this story. The support given in a time of need and the absolutely beautiful cafe scene part of this story where the children give up a gift for Christmas and give them to Chrissy was just so sweet. Love what a gentleman Brad is and so glad it is Hanna who steps up to move their relationship on. Hope Mark the brother gets his story one day. This is my honest review of this book.

Sweet Christmas Wish
Brad is in love with single mom, Hannah, but she wants to take it slow. When a fire destroys Hannah’s apartment, she and her daughter move in with Brad and his father and Hannah gets an even better idea of what a sweet and wonderful man Brad us and can’t help falling. Good performance by Tatiana Sokolov. Really sweet Christmas tale.

Great book just A few technical difficulties.
I read a review on this book before listening and it basically said “the plot was great but a little confusing at times”. And I realized after listening to most of the book that some of the chapters were out of order. So I went back and basically re-listened to the entire book while skipping back and forth to the right chapter sequence. This ended up being quite helpful, though slightly annoying, because I felt as if the narrator was going a little too fast on the moments that needed to be savored. All in all a very good book just be aware that the chapters are not in proper sequence and the narrator is quite fast paced.

Entertaining Christmas Love Story
Every Vivian Arend story I have heard has been enjoyable and make me want to visit the areas she describes. I was a little confused on a few chapters but I kept listening and since it had a HEA, I decided I loved it. Tatiana is a recognizable narrator who does a great job. I think the author and narrator are a matched pair.

Too girly
Didn't like females TRYING to sound like men. very poor job of that. Firemen are supposed to be tough sounding. just couldn't get in to it.

This firefighter was her dream come true!
I loved the story – the sort that is how every relationship should begin. The characters are easy to identify with and well developed. The plot was well thought out. And besides all that, the story took place very close to where I actually live and I know the landscape and towns that are referred to in the book. The author did a great job, as well, so did the narrator. The story was brought to life in the reading. A great book to listen to at this time of year.
