Summary

Life’s biggest dilemmas can provide its sweetest rewards.

Anna McNichol knows how to take charge. Raised by a single mother, she’s worked to ensure her three children have every advantage she didn’t. And while her marriage has its problems, she values commitment and believes in "till death do us part". Now an empty nester, she’s at the peak of her career and ready to seize the opportunity to focus on her future.

But life can change in an instant, and when her husband dies suddenly, Anna’s carefully constructed world falls apart. The mysterious young woman at the memorial service confirms her husband had been keeping secrets, and Anna is determined to get to the truth.

For once, she doesn’t have the answers. Her kids are struggling with their grief, her mother’s health is in decline, and Anna needs closure. Faced with one challenge after another, she finds support from an unexpected source. And as she puts her life back together, Anna realizes the McNichols may not be perfect, but they’ll always be family, and family is forever.

Never have I ever

Never have I ever given a Robyn Carr book less than 5 stars. If Therese wasn’t so awesome, I would not have finished this book. HATED the choppy storyline. Not at all impressed by the characters.

Not a fan of including COVID19 in the writing.

It was great until Robyn included COVID 19. Not a fan of hearing about it. But I know Robyn is very liberal in her writing. But I listen to romance books to escape the noise around me and not to have the current affairs in my ears.

Excellent…in every way!

From the familiar voice of Therese Plummer weaving the tale, to the weaving of Robyn Carr’s new offering, the story of Anna’s family, is at once complicated and reassuring. I enjoyed it start to finish!

I usually LOVE Robyn Carr

I don't know what it was about this story, but I just kept losing interest. There seemed to be too many storylines going on and I kept losing track of who was who. I love her books and I even usually enjoy this narrator, but I did not love this story at all.

Great story!!

I loved the story! Never a dull moment! And Thérèse Plummer is the best narrator ever I’m pretty sure she could make a boring story interesting so putting her together with Robyn Carr my favorite author always makes for a great read!!! This book definitely kept me on my toes! Very fast paced!

Terrible

Boring story. I don’t care for this particular narrator either. Quit listening and on to something else.

Thoughtful Story with a great ending.

Robyn Carr is a favorite writer of mine and this book does not disappoint. She captures the feelings that most people want out of life including myself but she takes me to a different place in life and time to escape for a while. The story does not leave me hanging but wanting more.
