Enjoyable. Loved listening to Fern reading her book. She has a lovely voice. I wanted it to continue in the same way as the last chapter. Would love to have had more information about the house after it had been restored and the adventures and days afterwards. It would be lovely to hear more about the characters and their involvement with the house. Not sure that Vivien would let the house go so easily to somebody who she thought had something to do with her husband's death ???
Perhaps another book of another chapter in the story ?!!!

I love Fern Britton’s books but this was really special.Normally it bothers me when a book goes backwards and forwards in time but Fern has done this perfectly. Her reading is beautiful too. What a wonderful story! Obviously so much research has been done. Yes it’s a romance but mostly with a house. So much feeling has gone into this it’s obvious how much Fern loves Cornwall as do I. I really feel as if I know the house and the people so well. You must read this!!
