About this listen
Mabel Canning – super sleuth, organiser extraordinaire and founder of the London Ladies’ murder club – is looking forward to an evening out. But soon there’s murder on the dance floor…
1922. Ladies’ assistant Mabel Canning is delighted to accompany young heiress Roxy to a glamorous ballroom event. When she arrives, Mabel can’t wait to practice her foxtrot skills. But a mysterious man warns her that Roxy is in danger. And he’s dead before the music stops...
After a narrow escape, Roxy stumbles into Mabel’s arms with her daffodil-yellow dress splashed with blood. Never one to rely on the police, Mabel swiftly gathers the murder club ladies on a hunt for clues. Can they catch the killer before they strike again?
Soon Mabel realises there were many suspicious characters waltzing around the dance floor. Ned Kettle may have looked dashing, but what was a notorious thief doing tango-ing the night away? Why was the sweaty ballroom manager acting so jumpy? And what secrets in Roxy’s past might make someone turn to murder?
Then Roxy is kidnapped, and Mabel comes cheek to cheek with the killer. Can she save poor Roxy, or has she danced her last dance?
A delightfully witty and utterly addictive whodunnit absolutely bursting with 1920s sparkle, from USA Today bestselling author Marty Wingate. Perfect for fans of Agatha Christie, Richard Osman, Verity Bright and T.E. Kinsey.

The difference in Narration for each character was brilliant, made the story more enjoyable. I didn’t want the audio to end!
