Summary
Not all that buzzes is a bee….
Elva Boyd, an extroverted elf, uses bees and honey to treat patients in pain. Art Klarastos, an introverted demi-god, beekeeper, and inventor is her best friend. When Elva’s beehives disappear, Art beelines to her to deliver the news. Distressed, Elva pleads for his assistance with the mystery of the missing boxes. Kit Kat, his matchmaking talking cat, makes a deal with Elva: Art will help her in exchange for a real date.
Art is mortified, but Elva agrees without hesitation. While they attempt to deduce why someone might want to steal her bees’ homes, a couple arrives and claims to be Elva’s long-lost parents. An orphan raised in Cat’s Paw Cove by her aunt and uncle, Elva is ecstatic. Suspicious of these unknown elves, Art shares his concerns—but Elva tunes out his buzzing.
When her parents declare they have come to take her home to Scotland for her contractually obligated wedding, Art is devastated. Will his best friend leave with her newfound family and soon-to-be-husband? Or will he be able to convince her that he is the beekeeper of her heart?

This a wonderful lovely paranormal, romantic, comedy. It is full of romance and humour. Elva is a elf where the land has kings who are cats and uses honey to treat patients. Art is Elva's best friend and a demi-god, he helps when her beehives start to go missing. You got to love a matchmaking cat, that bargains with Elva that he will help if they go an official date. I found myself laughing and loving this book.
I loved the narration of Rebecca Winder, who bought out the suspense , humour and love.

Beeutiful story
Elva is stunned when her parents turn up with her betrothed, firstly because she thought they were dead and second he's horrible and last and most importantly she is in love with her best freind. Art the best friend and every one else in Cat's Paw Cove finds this all very fishy,
This is a lighthearted mystery, with an excellent plot and the narration is perfection.

A honey of a story!
This is a paranormal by definition, but so lighthearted and fun that the characters are very relatable. In fact, if the author didn't actually say that Elva was an elf and Art was a demi-god, the banter, romance and story could have been about anyone in my circle of friends and family. There wasn't a werewolf, bear or vampire in sight, which is where my mind goes when I read paranormal as the genre. I was happy to broaden my horizons reading this type of paranormal, I will be looking to read this sub-genre again.
I listened to the audio-book and the narrator was fantastic. Since the story is funny and quirky, some narrators tend to go over the top, but Rebecca Winder did a superlative job.
I really enjoyed this fast paced story, it was cute, and while it may be a bit rushed in the romance department, it was definitely a fun read. Looking forward to reading more from Sharon Buchbinder in the future.

Elva the Elf
Elva is an elf, living in a magical place with talking cats. She has been raised by her aunt and uncle. Her parents are presumed dead. Is she really a Seelie princess? As a healing elf, she raises bees to use in her healing arts. Someone stole the bees, hives and all. Art, a demi-god, is a sweet goat herder who makes fantastical inventions. Just as Elva and Art are developing a romance, her “parents” and “fiancé” Prince Scott arrive. Elva is definitely not interested in party-boy Prince Scott. Art is protective and mistrustful of the ”parents”. In the end, truth wins out.
This is a sweet story, whimsical, and funny. The twists bring some surprising moments. The story line is well written and entertaining. Characters are well-developed. Narrator is a pleasure to listen to.

Whimsical and Enjoyable
I enjoyed this sweet, light and comical audiobook. This paranormal book has a mixture of mythological creatures from Olympus and magical creatures of elves, brownies, etc. The characters are funny. I liked the synopsis. Rebecca Winder did a great job with the many accented characters.

Where Did the Hives Go ? . . .
Extrovert Elf Elva Boyd uses honey for her potions in treating patients in pain. Introvert demi-god Art Klarastos is a beekeeper who is Elva’s best friend since she was 10. When Art, in a panic, informs her that her beehives have disappeared, she asks for his help finding them. His talking cat Romeo immediately offers Art’s help if she will agree to go on a date with Art, and her cat Kit Kat wholeheartedly agrees. As they finally realize how they feel about each other, they are interrupted by two people claiming to be Elva’s parents who were assumed to be dead! They announce she must return to Scotland to fulfill her marriage obligation to disgusting Prince Scott. Will Elva go along with this farce of a wedding? Will she give up the man she truly loves to obey her “parents”? With family help, will they find some answers for her about the missing hives and the truth about her “parents”? And is there a HEA waiting for Art and Elva when the truth is finally revealed?
The narrator for the audiobook version is Rebecca Winder. She does a great job with the voices to personalize the story and make it easy for the listener to get an accurate idea of what each character is like. It helps to set the mood and is a pleasant way to “read” and enjoy the book.
