A good supplement for learning

I think this is a great audiobook for supplementing language learning. It is most helpful for figuring out the pronunciations of words, something that can be a struggle when learning a new language for the first time. It certainly isn’t a standalone solution, as you still need to work through grammar and other rules, but definitely worth using as part of a comprehensive solution to learning Japanese.

Good idea but very poorly done

I was looking forward to this audiobook as it sounded like exactly what I needed to extend my vocabulary.
However, I find it quite frustrating because is so poorly done. The actual structure doesn’t works well. For example you only get to hear what the English translation of a phrase is after hearing the phrase repeated twice, so I alway have to wind back then for every phrase to then try and learn it. Also, the translations to English are really inaccurate, usually missing words or adding ones that aren’t there.
I guess that once you are actually familiar with all the vocabulary and understand it when you hear it, the this audiobook could be good to familiarise with pronunciation.
