William Preston's fiction has frequently appeared in Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine. His first published short story, "You Will Go to the Moon," appeared in Asimov's (July 2006) and was later reprinted in Neil Clarke's anthology of lunar fiction, The Eagle Has Landed. His five-story "Old Man" sequence (available as four ebooks via Amazon) first saw print in Asimov's. In 2006, his story "A Crisis for Mr. Lion" (also available as an ebook) won the Zoetrope: All-Story fiction prize and appeared online. For more than 20 years, he taught English, ESL, film studies, and creative writing at an independent school. He lives with his dog, and writes every day, in Syracuse, New York.
