Wendy learned to read when she was four years old, listening to her mother read great stories to alleviate her loneliness when her big brother started school. Ever since, she’s had her head buried in a book. Wendy loves words - historical plaques, signs, the cereal box - but her first love has always been novels, especially of the historical variety. About fifteen years ago, Wendy’s husband dared her to write a book instead of reading them all the time. While she didn’t think she could do it, she gave it a shot. To her shock, it grew into her new favorite pastime. It started out as a hobby and has become her full-time career. Wendy believes firmly that everyone deserves a happily ever after. She creates worlds for her readers to escape the everyday for a little while, leaving them feeling upbeat and refreshed when they come out the other side. When not reading or writing, Wendy can be found traveling the world with her husband, the best adventure companion.
