EPCA/CBA & Amazon Best selling author Vickie McDonough grew up wanting to marry a rancher but instead, she married a computer geek who is scared of horses. She lives out her childhood dream by penning romances set in the Old West. Vickie is an award-winning author of more than 50 books and novellas. Her books have won the Booksellers Best Award, OWFI Best Fiction Book Award, Inspirational Reader's Choice Contest, Texas Gold, and the ACFW Noble Theme contest, and she has been a finalist in ACFW's Carol Awards contest eight times and an Award of Merit winner in the Holt Medallion Contest. Vickie is the author of the Texas Boardinghouse Brides series and is a co-author of Texas Trails: A Morgan Family series. Her Pioneer Promises series features a family that runs a stage stop in 1870s Kansas. Whispers on the Prairie, book 1 in this series, was a Romantic Times Recommended Inspirational Book for July 2013. Vickie's latest series, Land Rush Dreams, is set during the Oklahoma land run days. The first book, Gabriel's Atonement, received 4 1/2 stars from Romantic Times and is a Will Roger's Medallion finalist. The second book, Joline's Redemption, and book 3 Sarah's Surrenders are now available. Vickie has recently stepped into independent publishing with her word search book, USA Word Find. Vickie and her husband live in Oklahoma. They have been married forty-five years and have four grown sons, one daughter-in-law, and a feisty granddaughter. When she's not writing, Vickie enjoys reading, gardening, watching movies, traveling, collecting antiques and doing stained glass projects.
