After working in the coal mines in South Wales I served in the R.A.F. before joining the sales force of a large multi-national company. My career progressed and I eventually became the Managing Director of a company subsidiary. After retiring I used my business experience to write four crime thrillers, the most recent being Too Slow To Die. When my local tennis courts closed due to Covid, I used the free time to write three humorous books and Senior Singles is the first to be published. The book is part fact and part fiction since my wife died soon after I retired and the experience helped me to describe how Tom Hartley becomes a widower overnight and recovers and builds a new life by joining with other lonely people to add fun, excitement and eventually love to his life. Based on a modern housing estate in Yorkshire the book includes drama, lots of humour and travel to encourage and entertain the reader.Read more Read less
