Steve Matthews works from a beautiful 90 year old cottage in the grounds of the farm he shares with his wife Diane, and a variety of animals, near Sydney Australia. Steve has been writing full time for nearly 10 years, and his quirky children's books have been published in the UK, the USA, Canada and Australia. As well as visiting schools and service clubs to talk about the importance of literacy in today's electronic age, Steve has recently visited Jaipur in India where he talked to street kids and orphans about his books. He has also visited Port Shepstone in South Africa to meet with school children and victims of Aids at a Hospice to encourage them to read more. Steve's work in literacy at home and abroad has been mentioned in the Australian State Parliament and his entertaining appearances at shopping centers and book shops are always well attended.
