Stephen B McCoy grew up in Southwest, Missouri on his family farm and filled his childhood days playing in creeks, barns, woods, rivers, caves and, yes, even the family cemetery. When he wasn’t traipsing around outside he was reading comic books, drawing and watching too much television. Either way, he was constantly fueled by his own imagination. McCoy wrote notes for MARTIN GOES TO HELL twenty-five years ago as an English student when he first went to college. If the satire was written more than two decades ago it would have been much different as it has been filled with characters and events lifted from the author’s own life and transformed by the story. McCoy has been married for almost thirty years. He has three children, three dogs, and two cats. He has a Master’s degree in education and currently teaches in the second grade. He also juggles.
