With 15+ years in the Mayfair area as a barber, Stefan Avanzato has become the "go-to" expert for men's grooming. Having worked as Master Barber for several years in the Dolce & Gabbana flagship store and then going on to open his own grooming lounge on the prestigious Duke Street in Mayfair, London in 2018, he has built a unique and strong client base comprised of influential individuals who range from journalists, sports personalities, barristers, politicians, celebrities, PR, professionals and more. Clients include Kit Harrington, David Hasselhoff, Roberto Fimino, Andrew Scott and others. Working in men's grooming is Stefan's passion and being behind the chair has enabled him to get "up close and personal" with his clients who entrust him with their styles and their personal stories. Conversations around grooming tips are a given in the grooming lounge and opinions on the male physical appearance, aging and new male beauty trends make way for interesting debates. From behind the barber chair, Stefan gives opportunity to his clients to speak candidly about pressures at work, family life, struggles and achievements which naturally sees Stefan fall into a role of barber, coach and companion. As a result, men's mental health is a topic close to Stefan's heart and giving tips and tricks on ways to look good and feel great are part and parcel of his profession and personality. It is through these encounters that Stefan has endeavoured to pass on his learnings from behind the chair, to the page, in the hopes that readers worldwide are able to take away some key pointers shared with him from some incredibly successful and confident men. Stefan is now Gillette’s master barber / grooming expert and has worked with them closely to film and promote their new King C product range. His work with Gillette has been aired on national TV and online platforms linked with major commercial brands such as Boots. Stefan was listed in the GQ magazine as one of London's Best Barbers, 2020 and also has been featured in The Rake and other well established press. He has also written several articles for The Telegraph and provides content for well-known bloggers who write for men’s style and fashion. Stefan's published his first book in 2021 titled, HIS MAP to Confidence, written for men and inspired by his client base.
