A native Jersey girl, Shawn loves small towns and exploring new places in equal parts. When her husband joined the Army it gave her a chance to see more of the world than she had ever planned to, but New Jersey will always be home. For as long as she can remember, Shawn has always loved writing stories and creating unique and relatable characters, but it wasn't until she got to college that she started to dabble in novel writing. Her professional writing career began during her husband's year-long deployment to Iraq. Being a twin, and having married her high school sweetheart, Shawn was always part of something bigger. During that year in which she lived in Germany, an ocean away from family, she became acquainted with who she was as an individual for the first time. As she dove back into novel writing, she rediscovered a side of herself that was all her own. Shawn's self-published novels include: Volition, Severance (the sequel to Volition), The Wanderer, Shifting Gears, and Know Thy Neighbor.
