Russell Myers grew up in Washington State, on the west side, with its mountains, valleys, rivers, and dense evergreen forests. Oh, and of course, Mount Saint Helens. At 15-years-old, in 1980, he saw the mountain explode from the relative security of his front yard. An hour later, he was flying in a single engine Cessna, taking photos and witnessing the fury of nature up close. Travel and adventure have continued for Russell, along with his wife and two adult children. He still lives in Washington State, but his family likes to "explore the world" whenever they get the opportunity. In 2022, at 57, he penned his first mystery novel, Whitefish. The story follows Brad Kelso, a government agent working undercover, tracking a killer on the island of Kodiak, Alaska. The second novel in the Brad Kelso trilogy, Miss, the Target, is expected to be released in early 2024, with the final book, In Plane Sight, expected in 2025.
