Robert V. Stapleton was born in Leeds, England, and after serving as an Anglican clergyman in various parts of England, he is now retired and lives with his wife in North Yorkshire, an area of the country made famous by the writings of James Herriot. He has had more than fifty stories published, of various lengths and in various places. He is a member of the local creative writing group Thirsk Write Now (TWN), and has had several stories included in their anthologies Golden Clippings (available on Amazon). Other stories include four in Sarasvati Magazine (Indigo Dreams) and two on Literally Stories. He has written several Sherlock Holmes pastiches, and other stories, included in publications by MX Publishing, and Belanger Books. He has a particular interest in the Edwardian period of history. MX Publishing has now published a collection of his Sherlock Holmes stories in Sherlock Holmes: A Yorkshireman in Baker Street.
