Rob Fersh is the founder and served as the first CEO of Convergence Center for Policy Resolution (2009-2020). For over fifteen years, Convergence has convened key stakeholders on multiple critical issues at the national and state levels. Prior to founding Convergence, Rob served as the US country director of the international conflict transformation organization Search for Common Ground. His career also includes working on the staffs of three Congressional Committees, an appointment to the federal executive branch, and serving for twelve years as president of the Food Research and Action Center, a leading organization working to end domestic hunger. Rob holds an undergraduate degree from Cornell University in Industrial and Labor Relations and a law degree from Boston University. Rob is married to Sharon Markus and lives in Bethesda, Maryland. Together they have four children and three grandchildren. Now semi-retired, Rob consults, remains an advisor to Convergence, and also sits on its board of directors. He is an avid golfer and keeper of friendships.
