Robert Blair was raised in the small town of Sweetwater, Texas but currently resides in Dallas, Texas. The journey from Sweetwater to Dallas wasn't merely geographical for Robert. It was a trek from being misunderstood and shunned by his family to finding his authentic self, embracing it, and transforming it into powerful prose. Being disowned for coming out as gay was a low point in his life, but instead of succumbing to despair, he transformed it into strength, finding acceptance in his chosen family of genuine friends who stand by him. Robert’s life experiences have not only influenced his writing but have also nurtured his wisdom. The best advice he offers is to always be yourself. For 18 years, he struggled with his identity and loathed himself for being gay due to societal pressures. But once he shed those shackles and embraced his truth, he found a renewed joy in existence, a peace that now shines through his work. Today, Robert stands proud of his identity, a testament to his belief that being true to oneself is the ultimate liberation.
