Renée Holler was born in Würzburg. After reading Enid Blyton as a child, she started dreaming of becoming an author one day. But when she grew up, she first decided to study anthropology and geography at Munich University. Later she worked in a publishing company, a bookshop and a school library. Meanwhile, her childhood dream has come true: she has published more than 30 books for adults and children, many of which have been translated in to foreign languages. She now lives in Oxford, England.
