Rachael Coakley, Ph.D., is associate director of Psychological Services in the Pain Treatment Service and director of the Comfort Ability Pain Management Program, Boston Children's Hospital. She is also associate professor, Department of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School. She lives in Boston, MA with her husband and two sons. Dr. Coakley works exclusively with children and adolescents who have chronic pain. She provides diagnostic assessment within the pediatric pain treatment service multidisciplinary clinic, conducts individual and family therapy, and directs several initiatives to provide research proven interventions to youth with chronic pain and their families.
