Qian Liu is an executive in the fintech industry. She is based in San Francisco, California. Since 2018 Qian has been serving as the chief data officer at Guideline, a leader in the retirement industry in providing low-cost and easy-to-use 401(k) plans to small businesses and their workers via software. Between 2016 and 2018 Qian was the head of data at GoFundMe, the biggest social fundraising platform, which raised billions of dollars to worthy causes worldwide. Before that, Qian worked at Wealthfront between 2009 and 2015, as a key member of the company’s founding team and later as the director of research. Qian Liu holds a PhD and MS in computer science from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS in computer science from Tsinghua University in China. Qian is also a Chartered Financial Analyst from CFA Institute.
